Flare Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 (edited) "De'kra... if you are upset because you were knocked out of battle, don't be. Everyone is knocked out once in their life, if this is what is tormenting you then you don't have to worry about it." Benji think for a second. "You can have the 5 gold they gave to me, if you want. I don't need it." (Thanks for that, BTW) *mumbling* "OK I do but thats not the point..." Edited October 13, 2011 by Flare
Tanma Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 De'kra watches the darkness, as a mixture of horror enters his eyes. He turns to Cinna and collapses to one knee, muttered a phrase over and over. The others don't seem to exist any more, there is only the shade and the one who wields shadow. He still is trembling, but his dagger has been sheathed. As he continues to speak in his alien tongue of high pitch and fast clicks, it may occur to them that if he has amnesia again as their barbarian suspects, that his knowledge of their tongue might be lost.
ADHO15 Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 "Shall we continue our journey back to Eubric?"
Tamamono Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 When De'kra looks up, she gives a kurt glance to Tomas and his blade to say 'wanna put that away? he is frightened', hoping that Tomas and the others will understand without her having to speak it. Tomas smiles and nods, setting down his Shadeaux Staff. "Shall we continue our journey back to Eubric?" "I think that would be best. Onwards!"
Tanma Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 The shade still trembles violently, and there is no recognition in his eyes towards the group. The only hero he seems to identify is Cinna, though it doesn't seem to be a happy memory. The shade watches the Mage closely, fear ever present in his empty eyes.
Brickdoctor Posted October 13, 2011 Author Posted October 13, 2011 De'kra remains in his strange state, but we manage to cover a good amount of ground by the time Night falls. At our chosen campsite for the Night under a large tree, we find a pack, left behind or dropped by someone.
Tamamono Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 At our chosen campsite for the Night under a large tree, we find a pack, left behind or dropped by someone. Tomas picks up the pack and examines it. "I wonder who left this behind?"
Brickdoctor Posted October 13, 2011 Author Posted October 13, 2011 Tomas picks up the pack and examines it. You see no markings. The pack is heavily worn and made of cheap cloth. Evidently the former property of a peasant.
Tamamono Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 You see no markings. The pack is heavily worn and made of cheap cloth. Evidently the former property of a peasant. Tomas puts on a Hazmat suit before opening the pack gingerly opens the pack to see what's inside.
Brickdoctor Posted October 13, 2011 Author Posted October 13, 2011 Tomas puts on a Hazmat suit before opening the pack QM Note: gingerly opens the pack to see what's inside. You find the pack contains only one item, a coin of an unknown metal.
Tanma Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 De'kra watches Cinna carefully with one eye, while the other looks around the region. As he catches sight of the stars the shade starts to click with a great intensity, his body quivering in rage. But even in his seemingly random anger the shade keeps track of Cinna, his behavior towards her was much like a peasent staring at a Direwolf.
Tamamono Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 You find the pack contains only one item, a coin of an unknown metal. Tomas takes out the coin and examines it thoroughly for any markings or inscriptions.
Darkdragon Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Noticing what seems like fear from De'kra but having no idea how to help, Cinna makes sure to not make any sudden movements he might interpret as hostile. She keeps her mind working on ways to help him remember that they are all comrades.
Brickdoctor Posted October 13, 2011 Author Posted October 13, 2011 Tomas takes out the coin and examines it thoroughly for any markings or inscriptions. Upon closer examination, it becomes clear that we have gained 1 Elven Gold. Party Leader, who will receive the found item? All of you, state any actions you wish to perform before the party moves on.
Darkdragon Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 "I would like tosearch around the tree where we saw the pack. Looking especially for track/drag marks or signs of a struggle. "
ADHO15 Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 "I think you should hold onto the Elven Gold, Tomas. If no one has any digging or additional searching, I suggest we move on."
Brickdoctor Posted October 13, 2011 Author Posted October 13, 2011 "I would like tosearch around the tree where we saw the pack. Looking especially for track/drag marks or signs of a struggle. " No unusual marks can be seen.
Tamamono Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Upon closer examination, it becomes clear that we have gained 1 Elven Gold. Party Leader, who will receive the found item? All of you, state any actions you wish to perform before the party moves on. "Interesting... Seaian, would this Elven Gold be of any use to the Brobric Elves?" "I would like tosearch around the tree where we saw the pack. Looking especially for track/drag marks or signs of a struggle. " "Good idea, Cinna. I'll dig under the tree after she's finished searching."
Tanma Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 OOC: if only the group had people with communication as their skill... De'kra's eyes have turned completely to face Cinna, only turning away to glance at the woods. If he planned on making a run for it, he didn't chance it. As he watched her his dagger began to cut into the earth, carving into the earth a strange symbol. The design featured a large center dot, a smaller dot on each side, then he carves two wavy lines in the dirt, one on each side of the center sphere. As he glanced down at the symbol, he semed to calm, though he still watched Cinna fearfully.
Tamamono Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 "I think you should hold onto the Elven Gold, Tomas. If no one has any digging or additional searching, I suggest we move on." "I think that would probably be a good idea. I will give 1 Elven Gold to myself."
Brickdoctor Posted October 13, 2011 Author Posted October 13, 2011 "Interesting... Seaian, would this Elven Gold be of any use to the Brobric Elves?" "As a matter of fact, it is. This is our primary currency." "Good idea, Cinna. I'll dig under the tree after she's finished searching." You dig up a lot of roots, but nothing more. Tomas (played by Captain Tamamono) (Dearly Beloved Party Leader) Level 10.5 Cleric Power: 15.5 Health: 12/19 Ether: 5/15 Gold: 20 Inventory: Pongcanis Staff (WP: 5), Shadeaux Staff (WP: 5), Gold Staff (WP: 4), Potion (2), Remedy (3), Bedroll, Tonic (2), Bone, Grand Tonic, Fire Bomb, Shovel, Venom, Remedy, Elven Gold (1) QM Note: By the way, apologies if the concept of Nights seems a little boring and/or tedious. This is an Quest where you need to investigate, not battle all the time, and if I didn't have the Nights, you'd probably end up with an unfairly low amount of XP.
Tamamono Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 "As a matter of fact, it is. This is our primary currency." "Well, we might have a use for it when we get Brobric, then!" "I think we should move on now."
Brickdoctor Posted October 13, 2011 Author Posted October 13, 2011 "I think we should move on now." The party has now returned to Eubric. Party members may now purchase items at the Heroica Marketplace and make short visits to Heroica Hall, if they so wish, before we get moving towards Brobric.
Tanma Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 OOC: I enjoy the concept of nights, it adds some realism. On an island this big it should take time to travel around, and odds are that bandits would be waiting for travelers. De'kra trembles at the noisy city, and retreats into an empty area. The noise only antagonizes him further; the tongue of an alien race both loud and disturbing. Will any of the group make sure he doesn't randomly attack a civilian?
