swils Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Well then, let's get to brawling! Thormanil assesses the plan so far. Of eight actions, five have been declared: two will be directed towards the cleric, one towards the rogue, another towards the knight, and a final one against the ranger. The mage and barbarian have yet to be attacked. Did anybody see that? I think that manbearmage just winked at me! That smug son of a... Oh, this does not end well for him! Tomas, unless you'd rather I focus on the knight, I'm going to go have me some fun, hacking up that arrogant arcanist! Thormanil prepares to attack the Pongcanis Mage from the front row. OOC: Hope no one minds the recap. I had to jump between the pages a few times to get a clear idea of who was doing what, so I figured I'd make it easier for the last few of us to declare our actions. Also, I'm prepared to yield to Tamamono's judgment regarding targets here, so don't hesitate to speak up before the round is played out.

Also, I'm prepared to yield to Tamamono's judgment regarding targets here, so don't hesitate to speak up before the round is played out. QM Note:No problem. This is meant to be one of those battles that requires discussion. You can take a look at my current list, if you like: Sir Leo the Sentinel vs. Xander Unth'or vs. Thormanil Nihai vs. Pongcanis Mage - >Cinna the Dark vs. Pongcanis Cleric - >Ad-Hoh vs. Pongcanis Cleric - >Benji Carvenhall vs. Pongcanis Ranger - De'kra vs. Pongcanis Rogue - Tomas vs. Pongcanis Knight -
Tanma Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 De'kra clicked, "Bear men listen to ranger? Not, I attack other rogue. I hope I not sleep-forever. Near long sleep, I retreat, like other hero say." De'kra asks the ranger again if he could see if his skills could pacify the attackers. Although the knight had failed, as far as De'kra noticed the ranger had not yet tried his skill yet.

Although the knight had failed, as far as De'kra noticed the ranger had not yet tried his skill yet. Benji attempts to use Animal Friend on the Poncanae."Animals?!?! We are not animals! Kill them! Kill them all!"
Tanma Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 De'kra shrugs and clicks, "Everyone animal, even humans, Orcs, and Elves. What else? Plants? Only not animals; plants and metal creatures. It simple, people deny it think they more important than truth. I still attack rogue."
posades Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Xander readies his hefty hammer. "The Barbarian is mine," Xander proclaims with a steely determination in his eyes. "Looks like we could use another hero aiming for the knight; Leo perhaps?" Xander prepares to attack Pongcanis Barbarian from the front row.
Flare Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Benji will attack Pongcanis Ranger from the back row.
TheBoyWonder Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 I wish to attack the Cleric from the Front Row.

Flare Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 "We can do it, guys!" Benji will attack the Pongcanis Ranger from the back row.
Darkdragon Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 I will attack the cleric from back row with darkness.
Tamamono Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Order of action: Leo Xander Thormanil Cinna Ad-Hoh Benji De'kra Tomas "De'kra's in pretty bad shape, so I think I'll heal him this round. Remember, make sure that every enemy is attacked by at least one hero. The only enemy that should have two heroes attacking it is the knight (the cleric is a big problem as well, but we can't damage any of them if the knight gets the sentinel position)."
Tanma Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 De'kra unleashed a mechanical growl in frustration, as yet again he fails horrible. The shade shrugs it off, and clicks to the team leader, "You lead heroes and I to victory in all prior fights, who I best fight? I not trust I judgement right now."
Tamamono Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 "De'kra, I think you should attack the knight." "I will heal De'kra from the back row, and I will change to order of action so that there won't be any chance of him getting knocked out by the ranger's tripleshot or the mage's magic burst." Order of action: Tomas Leo Xander Thormanil Cinna Ad-Hoh Benji De'kra
Tanma Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 De'kra nodded and headed to face the knight in the front row. The foe was much stronger than this shade, but De'kra was more agile. Hopefully the group would survive this fight, and if they do win even if the quest fails, 6 out of 8 of them will still get upgraded weapons.
ADHO15 Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 "I will heal De'kra from the back row, and I will change to order of action so that there won't be any chance of him getting knocked out by the ranger's tripleshot or the mage's magic burst." "Are you sure that is wise? Maybe De'kra would be better off using his potion to regain heath, seeing as you have the highest power and it would be a shame to see it go to waste." OOC: If I use my emerald, will that cause more damage than if I didn't use it, even if it isn't particularly effective against this type of enemy, just at the cost of one ether?
Brickdoctor Posted September 27, 2011 Author Posted September 27, 2011 OOC: If I use my emerald, will that cause more damage than if I didn't use it, even if it isn't particularly effective against this type of enemy, just at the cost of one ether? QM Note:Because your staff is a melee weapon, not ranged, so if you stand in the Back Row and don't cast magic, your damage is halved.
Tamamono Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 "Are you sure that is wise? Maybe De'kra would be better off using his potion to regain heath, seeing as you have the highest power and it would be a shame to see it go to waste." "Good thinking, Ad-Hoh! De'kra, could you please use your potion to heal yourself? I will now attack Pongcanis Barbarian from the front row. I have changed the order of action (again ), so that De'kra will be able to heal himself before any of the enemies have a chance to do special damage." Order of action: De'kra Leo Xander Thormanil Cinna Ad-Hoh Benji Tomas
Tanma Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 (edited) De'kra nodded, and jabbed his hand into the potion. After a few seconds he removed his hand from the bottle; now empty of any liquid. Does anyone find it odd that his hands act as his mouths? Edited September 27, 2011 by Tanma
Brickdoctor Posted September 27, 2011 Author Posted September 27, 2011 Does anyone find it odd that his hands act as his mouths? QM Note:No.
TheBoyWonder Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 I will attack the Knight from the front row. COME ON TEAM!
swils Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Grrr, that mage thinks he's so smooth. I won't miss, this time, you hairy brute! Thormanil focuses his anger and again, prepares to attack the Pongcanis Mage from the front row
Brickdoctor Posted September 27, 2011 Author Posted September 27, 2011 Grrr, that mage thinks he's so smooth. I won't miss, this time, you hairy brute! The Pongcanis Mage sticks his tongue out at Thormanil.
ADHO15 Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 QM Note: Because your staff is a melee weapon, not ranged, so if you stand in the Back Row and don't cast magic, your damage is halved. OOC: Alright I see, but what I meant was 'is using magic, which costs ether, still more powerful than a melee weapon, even when the power is not increased against certain enemies?' QM Note: No. OOC: How did I know that link was coming?
Brickdoctor Posted September 27, 2011 Author Posted September 27, 2011 OOC: Alright I see, but what I meant was 'is using magic, which costs ether, still more powerful than a melee weapon, even when the power is not increased against certain enemies?' QM Note:No, as long as you attack from the Front Row. For Mages, in order of power, Elemental Attack against weak enemies from either row - double Damage Elemental Attack against indifferent enemies from either row - normal Damage Normal Attack from Front Row - normal Damage Normal Attack from Back Row - halved Damage Elemental Attack against strong enemies from either row - halved Damage Hope that clears it up!
