Nachapon Lego Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 (edited) Thanks to "Aanchir". I modify this from his great work. nachapon110918 by Nachapon S., on Flickr LXF_file Copy the moves form MS Windows's chess game or others if you want to play with AI. All chess pieces are one plate height floating above the board. To select a chess piece: 1. Just click it with connected select tools (shift+V,V 1st time, later just V key). or 2. By click desire piece on sub-groups tool icon(can sub-groups 8 pawns by weapon, helmet, or chang the base color for easier indentify.) To move a chess piece: 1. Just move it to square you want click(on group tool)-drag-click . but next time you can only re-select it by groups tools (can not use connected select tools anymore because it already connect to the chess board) (Not to use tranparent 4x4 plates dummy, look better but not convenient, it takes time to find corret piece) or 2. Drag the tranparent 4x4 plate dummy to the square where you want to move to. (No need to swith back to normal select tools, just drag it by connected select tools) ,click the desire piece, then drag the piece noto that dummy plate. Repeat 5 steps drag-click-click-drag-click for every moves. (This way the dummy also remind you that what are the last moves each players did, and you can view it big by Ctrl+1,2,3,4 keys) Just move dead pieces out board. If you wish can hide them with L,V keys(back to connected select tools for next move). ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I will post how to random roll the dicea of LEGO board games set on LDD. So we can play all LEGO games set on LDD. LDDScreenShot31 by Nachapon S., on Flickr To random roll a Dice of lego board game set in LDD is very easy. No need to build any addiitional things, or use hinge tools fast drag circles then release around the red axles like above two bad samples. The hexagon one is still cheat-able, and the stick one is hard to cheat but difficult to identify which face is most Parallel to base plane, have to buid guide thing aside for easier compare but still not convenient. The best way is easiest just build the dice only! Click the dice with connected select tool or drag a box to select it, drag move it a bit, 1. Hold then release left or right arrow key.(the dice will rotate horizontal very fast and stop) 2. Hold then release up or down arrow key.(the dice will roll vertical very fast then stop) 3. Drag right mouse button to orbit camera about 90 degree, 4. Hold then release up or down arrow key again. (have to roll all three xyz directions in any order before each move. To ensure that all six faces have equal chance = 16.6666%x6 to face up as real dice. If just two all face have chance to face up, but not equal= 25%x2 + 11.25%x4) (don't enable advance shading, the dice may roll too slow if you PC not fast enough) or Or save the dice as a template object then just click to use it. after rolls all three directon, remember the result. press V key back to connected select tool the dice will gone and you can move the game piece. Now we can build and play all lego games set on LDD! To select and move game pieces same way as the chess set. Edited September 18, 2011 by bbqqq Quote
