BoscoKu Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 (edited) Hi all, I have been reading all the reviews and MOCs on this GREAT site for quite sometime, I must say it is entertaining, educational and most of all addicting and I love it. I have been collecting minifigures for a little over a year and never thought I would start building sets, but here I am! I must say what you are seeing below is nothing like any of the MOCs we have enjoyed seeing here, this is my first attempt and I hope I have not embarrassed myself too much. By the way, I work for a reputable security company that runs a fleet of grey armored trucks hence this set is quite special to me. Night views. Thank you very much for looking. Rocketbilly Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 This is nice. Did you use the pieces for the second armoured van in the building, or do you still have both of them intact? it'd be cool to have a fleet of them driving round your city. Also the patrons of this particular bank are certainly a random bunch Quote
slovakiasteph Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 These buildings look really good put back-to-back! Great idea! Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Amazing building with so many large and transparent windows! I like to see 3PO and R2D2 around the bank! Quote
Hinckley Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 That is surprisingly effective. Thanks for sharing this with us. I am now much more impressed with this set as a whole. It looks really complete. I could see this developed a bit further into a modular high rise! Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Interesting creation, a d-i-y modular out of two city sets......like the humour in it and you will let the hazmat guy out won't you ? Brick On 'BoscoKu' ! Quote
BoscoKu Posted September 13, 2011 Author Posted September 13, 2011 The 2 armored vans are still intact, I am going to bring one to my office for show Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Hi BoscoKu and welcome to EB! Thanks for sharing this mod that your did with the Bank & Money Transfer set, which shows how the seemingly incomplete look of CITY sets can be addressed with simple but effective modifications like this expansion using two copies of this set. Well done! Just a simple reminder though, your pictures are slightly larger than the maximum limit that the forum allows, so if you could pls. resize it to 800x600 pixels it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Thats pretty neat 'Boscoku'. I also bought a few copies of this set but, haven't combined any yet. Just ideas. It's nice to see them built, I now know what to look forward to. Great job Quote

BoscoKu Posted September 13, 2011 Author Posted September 13, 2011 (edited) Well, I have decided to put in more treasure and $$$ into the safety vault plus an air-conditioning unit, so my Hazmat guy can have a better time being trapped in it By the way, I hope I have resized the pictures correctly this time; thank you very much. bzcat Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 I did something very similar with my City Corner set to make it "modular compatible". A small suggestion for improvement... you may want to look into increasing the height of the first floor ceiling by 2 or 3 bricks. It will make for a better looking building. But otherwise a great idea Quote
Big Cam Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Very nice, I really like how they look together, and you have a great story told by pictures. Quote
BoscoKu Posted September 14, 2011 Author Posted September 14, 2011 (edited) Great idea "bzcat", indeed it does look much better A side show, my 10 years old boy built this house Edited September 16, 2011 by BoscoKu Quote
