efferman Posted May 16, 2014 Author Posted May 16, 2014 there are many sequential gearboxes build complete with lego. there is no need for specialiced parts Quote
Hrafn Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 can you build a fully mechanical sequential gearbox? i'm thinking of making one, but still pondering how to do the sequential part mechanically. Piterx has a couple of designs, both partially described in the forums here. The first was for his Lancia Fulvia; the second was for his Pajero Pinin. I can think of at least one other approach, but can't find the link to it now; basically the designer used the classic 4-speed Lego gearbox and coupled the tops of the gear selectors with a 6571: . He then used a series of cranks to activate the selectors in sequence; the 6571 ensured that when one selector was thrown, the other one would return to neutral. I realize that's not the clearest explanation but hopefully it gives you some idea. Quote
Imanol BB Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 hi, i think maybe this crane would be very nice: and i wanted to know if someone can make some custom pieces like the pieces in this model for a tatra transmission: https://www.dropbox.com/home?preview=independent+suspension+with+custom+parts+(blue%2C+red+and+green).lxf the blue piece would work as a deifferential and the red and green gears would be on each side and would slide in the blue pin, but would move the wheels axles, i hope you can understand what im thinking, and good luck if you want to make that crane ;). Geekphysique Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 I would love to build one of these: Four wheel drive, steering, rotating base, articulated boom with LA's or pneumatics... Could be fun. Quote
MaxSupercars Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 (edited) What about screw vehicle? Max... Edited July 14, 2015 by MaxSupercars Quote
D3K Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 (edited) I would love to build one of these: Do it! I am wanting to build one of the rather unusual Mecalac wheeled, articulated excavators, but I need to "finish up" with all my existing MOCs (video, LDraw etc) before parting them out for new projects Edited July 14, 2015 by D3K Quote
robin9819 Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 I am currently trying to build a working model of a junttan pm 26 piling rig with power functions an pneumatics. (Waiting for the new cylinders). Quote

Imanol BB Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 That is a pretty nice machine, they took functionality and versatility to a very high level, the feature that i like the most is that multi functional arm, is a very nice idea, is a pretty cool thing, i am agreed with Attika, this might be a really challenging model, but i think it would be worth trying to make it.
