When I'm awake. :sceptic:

If you want to see a real answer may put up a poll.

12am-6am

6am-12pm

12pm-6pm

6pm-12am

Or something like that. Or even more specific:

12am

1am

2am

3am

etc. and have people pick 3.

I've added a poll for you. You must be a Knight or higher to create a poll.

Also, please don't quote large posts, and please use proper punctuation and grammar.

I think that far more relevant than the time of day is what day of the week! At least for me. Like most adults (and aren't we all supposed to be adults here?) I have a job that keeps me plenty busy five days a week from roughly 8AM to 5 PM. I might get a bit of building done in the evenings (sometime between 7PM and 9PM), but I do most of my building on Saturdays, in late afternoon and (early) evening.

Consequently, that's when I do my building too

Cheers,

Ralph

Thanks. I'm still learning the ropes. I appreciate your help.

well, I do shift work so my schedule is all over the place, but I find when i am coming off of nights and stay up all day my mind gets fervent and I get in the zone, sometimes till the wee hours of the morning. It really all depends on my schedule though.

I do my best building spontaneously......there are times where I can't build anything decent, no matter how hard I try. And then there are times where the pieces just seem to come together by magic

I know what you mean. sometimes you just get, "In The zone" and every piece you pick up seems to be what you need. Everything seems to come together and soon you are looking at an awesome MOC.

When I get in the zone I do some of my best work.

Just depends. Sometimes I get up and instantly (as in before I even have a chance to eat breakfast, get dressed, etc) start MOCing, other times right after lunch, etc. I notice I tend to start on huge projects after 1 AM most of the time, most likely because around that time my brain is half asleep and doesn't realize that I don't have the parts to finish it, but I keep working on it and usually end up taking it apart, unfinished. Sometimes I get it done though, like my apocalypse gas station (Will post in a week or so, still finishing minor details).

Thats quite a cool question actually

I usually do my best building when I first get up and ready for the day (In the weekends), Which would be around 8-11AM, but also during weekdays when I get home, I'll often have some inspiration from throughout the day that'll give me ideas for a couple of hours - that would be about 4-5PM..

I usually struggle to keep on a roll after that time - and usually I'd be braindead anyway - so thats when I usually build any new sets

However, Even in a good week, I probably wouldn't get more than 10 hours of MOCing done, but it can vary, a lot :classic:

Very intresting to see what others are saying too.

When I'm not depressed? Although having said that, I do find that pottering about with a few bricks does often cheer me up a bit. Even if it doesn't go anywhere.

As far as time scales go, I'd have to say afternoon and evenings. Mornings aren't my thing at all, and while I often feel at my most creative in the middle of the night (weirdly), I can't help but imagine the rest of the household might not appreciate being woken by rattling Lego boxes.

When I have a clear mind and time. But not right now, I have a headache.

I often find that a bit of building sometimes helps with headaches. Not always though, sometimes it just makes them worse and I have to go to bed or whatever.
