AwesomeTaylor Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 I've been working on a new modular, and need to order more bricks! But with a wedding coming up and a vacation and SO MUCH stuff to buy for christmas, I figured I'd keep myself busy by working on a new lorry for my town! I'm still not happy with the front, but wanted to make the whole thing without *buying* new parts! The hardest think to make was the back of the truck. i didn't like what I could make with my very limited yellow bricks, and when I worked on the loading system it just wouldn't fit. Then one quiet (ha!) afternoon I hit on the idea of hanging plates off the roof and the whole truck started to take shape! Most of the parts came from the long yellow tractor-trailer I got in january, and a few bits from the yellow sports car in the City Transport set. The yellow lorry rolls into town! Not entirely happy with the front, but limited parts and imagination caused problems :P Here is the rear view The delivery guy lowers the back loading dock this picture shows the construction of the panelling The dock and loader allow heady items to be removed directly onto a loading dock... Or lowered to street level for front-door deliveries This photo shows the construction of the side to make room for the loading dock Here he makes a delivery of gym equipment to the hotel. Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Interesting truck 'AwesomeTaylor', though that front end needs lots of work to it - too low to the ground, over the top - just go simple - something like basing it on a real truck. In any case I really like the rear tail gate - huge - Brick On 'AwesomeTaylor' Truck On too ! Quote

Yea, I have a few ideas floating around my head - this was the best I could come up with that didn't involve spending money :D I will improve it when I have the funds to place a new bricklink order, and when I do I will make sure to include it in my next set of pictures for you to see :) Quote
