Darth Dino Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Hi i am just that small brick (holding the fingers close together) far away been off my dark ages. So i am spending lot of time thinking of what to do when my "first"LEGO will arrive. I am wondering how adults get off small bricks e.g. two well clutched 2x1 plates. I former times i used my teeth in a professional way (without losing them)... But what about now? Are there tools or tricks to do so? thanks Dino Quote
Zeya Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 We use this: http://shop.lego.com/de-DE/Elementetrenner-630?_requestid=1825333 You NEED one of these. It makes it really easy to remove attached plates and tiles that are hard to get apart. Quote
Hogarth Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 I always just used my front teeth to pop them off when I was a child until I learned better. I was stuck for awhile before my parent's best friend gave me the Death Star and threw one of the separators in for good measure. It never leaves my sight now and I am always amazed at how simple it is. Quote
L@go Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Hi i am just that small brick (holding the fingers close together) far away been off my dark ages. This post just put a big smile on my face. You've got some good times comin' :) Quote
dr_spock Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 Brick separator is worth getting. It makes disassembly so much faster. I never used my teeth. I always had enough fingernails to separate 1x2 plates. Quote
obsidianheart Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 Echoing the brick separator sentiment. I never used one until my son got one with his first tub, and now I don't know how I got along without it. Quote
-zenn Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 As a kid teeth, later on the seperator... But now; Quote
Legostein Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 Hello! A while back we had an interesting topic with many stuck bricks and solutuions how to separate them. Parts that just can't be taken apart without swearing loudly Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
