Hello,

I wanted to build these for a long time but it's only a few days ago I made them... don't ask me why, I have no idea why some models take so many time to born?

Anyway here are the little apes, from the 1968 movie, that everybody loves:

POTA-Lego-04.jpg

First Cornelius and Zira

POTA-Lego-02.jpg

Gorilla soldier (which seems happy to have a new stick to catch those dirty humans without having to put his stinking paws on them) and general Ursus (that looks doubtful)

POTA-Lego-03.jpg

Zaius and the Lawgiver statue (no Judge Dredd here  )

POTA-Lego-05.jpg

Zaius (again? That ape thinks he's better than the others  ) and some old monkey that makes me think to Mr charlton Heston as seen in the Tim Burton movie.

And a group shot. "Attention, everybody says : Banana"!

Hope you like them.

Last thing to the mod,if my pics are too big, please resize them or tell me.

Those are awesome. I can definitely see the likeness. I am always impressed by brick built characters instead of using a mold for one. Brilliant work!

Thanks. In fact those were easy to do but I build a human character (Taylor) too and it's so ugly that I finally didn't use the pics

Awesome! I was hoping for the original characters when I clicked the topic and boy did you deliver. Perfect representations of all the characters from their wonderfully designed heads to their stunningly worked out feet.

Fantastic work. I really like the armour on General Ursus.

Thanks. The body armor was a must but those 1x1 silver round plate are of variable quality!!!

Thanks.

In fact the feet are similars to the ones on my T-600 (see terminator) good ideas are reusable endlessly  and so the figures stand very well. Plus they are funny.
