deleus Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Hi guys,i'm new in the forum but my lego technic collection is huge..from the bulldozer to my just built unimog etc...but dust is a big problem...as some parts are electrical...what is your behaviour in frony of this problem? Arfman Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Just clean them periodically (once per 2 months or so). I use a soft paint brush (unused ofcourse :D) to wipe the dust off the models, and a vacuumcleaner with a soft brush attachment. Keeps the models like new. Quote

You'd then just want to mill a small channel on the bottom shelf for a piece of glass to slot into, and voila - Display with a very minimal amount of dust. Cheap, too. Quote

They're on a shelf set at my parent's house in a room no one goes in anymore. Sadly, my magnificent plan did not work, and after blowing everything off with canned air, I now keep a sheet over the shelf set. When I get some more space of my own, I'm sure I'll have to figure something else out. Quote

When I get some more space of my own, I'm sure I'll have to figure something else out. i have to try compressed air...you can find this at any bookshop or computer shop as it is used to remove dust from mechanical computer hardware... i'll give it a try later in the day...
