I'd better start running, if I were you.

Before the Eurobricks community starts hunting you with all the pitchforks and torches they can find...

I think you'll find, that most of us arn't best friends with MB. (It's even used as a cursingword here.)

But more important than the megablok issue is the fact that you posted this in the MOCforum (which means my own creation)

I do know that if you type in "lego flying dutchman" in google you'll find the megabloks FD, also buyable

I would like to give some more information on the posts above, :pir_laugh2:

-Never buy megabloks, I know this is a pirate forum but what these "Fake-lego" brands do is stealing the system and the ideas of the Original lego company, but these are just my principles.

(the quality of megabloks is sometimes okay and sometimes really bad)

(If you see the fake-lego brand "Enlighten", these are even worse than Megabloks)

-most people here on EB don't want to see these Megabloks stuff, we support the real lego brand. :pir_laugh2:

-This is the MOC thread, you actually could better ask things in the "Discussion Forum" thread, wich gives you likely more reactions. :pir-classic:

-I would like to refer you to the "fake-lego" thread, where you can read stuff about these Pirate-companies.

This is the link: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=7669

-I'm not a moderator, I just want to help you to stay out of trouble. (If a moderator reads this, I do not want to steal your job I just wanted to help this member asap)

I hope I helped you out a bit!

When will people learn that MB is NOT Lego ! :imperialguard_commander1: MB lost the rights to POTC and Lego now has it, a far better version I say too ! :pir-classic: The moderators will not take to kindly to MB talk filling space reserved for Lego pirates/POTC.

Just buy Lego it is a far better product than MB (and that is from personal experience too).

Alright alright everyone calm down, talk of mega bloks isn't a mortal sin, but being as this is a LEGO forum we tend to look down on mega bloks as an inferior product.

To the thread starter if you want to buy PotC mega bloks sets you may need to look to the after market (ebay, craigslist, etc.) OR if you want to move up to the LEGO PotC line of sets then you can visit any toy store since they are still in production.

I'll move this thread to LEGO Pirates forum since it's not a MOC and if you want to continue discussing LEGO PotC then please do so here otherwise if you wish to continue discussing the mega bloks line I suggest you find a forum that caters to that interest.

Megabloks is cheaper than Lego though.

I would never buy megabloks but actually I think it's a good thing they excist, they serve as an extra motivation for LEGO to keep up their high level of quality,

After all it's the quality that seperates Lego from fake products.

I also think megabloks is for the "less creative" and I refer to the megabloks Flying Dutchman here, a moccer would have simply no use of that set, the only thing you can build with it is the FD and nothing else.

...a lego from megablocks.... ....buy a new lego from megablocks.... ......buy the lego.....

You can't buy legos from any brand but lego. When you buy a "lego" from MB you are actually buying Mega Bloks. And also if you have legos and Mega Bloks, then you have to keep them separate because they do NOT mix. They have different parts, different kinds of minifigs, etc.

And just a side note when we were kids, my brother and I would love to build legos together (and now still). But somehow, some Mega Bloks got mixed in with our legos. So whenever we would find one, we would run to the nearest trash can and chuck it in. :pir_laugh2:

I totally agree. Mega Blok sets is more for just play, ones like the FD are more for kids who like the satisfaction that they built it and then play with it.
