Fireburner5000 Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 I'm not sure if this is in the right forum, but a few months ago I lost the cable that connects the Mindstorms robot to the computer. I can't find it anywhere! Please tell me if there is any way I can get a replacement? I have the NXT 2.0 model. Quote
JopieK Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 That cable is called a USB cable ;) you cab buy it almost everywhere... Quote
paul_delahaye Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Correct me if I'm wrong but the USB cable is permanently attached to the mindstorms control tower? Bricklink or ebay are your friend: Buy Me Quote
Toastie Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Hi Fireburner5000, as JopieK said, you need an USB cable, the A/B type variety - they're dead cheap and you may very well have them in the house already. Google has tons of pictures. @Paul: The USB tower you are referring to is perfect for the RCX/Scout/Spybotics PBricks (via the IR link) and for the VLL bricks like Code Pilot and MicroScout bricks via the visible light link built into that tower. Unfortunately the NXT (1.0 or 2.0 does not matter) does not speak IR anymore ... which certainly is not nice . Regards, Thorsten Quote

IR really $#@&$ (pardonez le mot) especially if you use it in classroom situations like I do. Although it is a pity that PF and NXT aren't compatible (out of the box then). Have you ever experienced uploading firmware again and again (and since a typical dutch period is just 50 minutes... students hate it (I still partially use RCX)). Cables on Google like Thorsten said: http://www.google.nl...biw=993&bih=743 Quote
