Definitely. Although I liked the fantasy Crownies that preceded it, I think Kingdoms is a step in the right direction for LEGO, with more civilian sets (Mill Raid) and better constructions.

I was a huge fan of the crownies and dwarves that preceded the Lion and Dragon Knights, those sets are what got me back into Lego in the first place, especially the medieval market place. I really like the move to pearl colored weapons and armor, they just look so much better than the dark grey of yore.

That being said I really like the Lion knights, the colors are perfect (when not printed with pink instead of white) and from a MOC perspective the King's castle and mill village raid give excellent parts for building. However, I am not a huge fan of the Dragon Knights structures, the black pieces are not super useful on a typical medieval MOC.

I personally really like the road LEGO has taken with the Castle line. Focusing more on the villagers and peasants is just pure brilliant. I'd love to see a whole village and am very sorry I didn't buy the Midevel Market square set. Because it would go along great with the new mill and the old Blacksmith shop.

I really think the the Kingdoms is not just equal, but better. I prefer having to sets of humans to collect than sets with knights and skeletons (Which to me don't really count as minifigures), but two people, though I did like getting Trolls- they're great fun for making funny scenes... :enough:

Annoyingly, I didn't have enough time before it came out to get into Castle, so my collection is very limited collection (Seige tower, Dwarf's mine defender, Market Village and the Brickmaster... luckily, 5 Troll/Orcs!), but I love the detail and look of all the new minifigures!

I have the grand plan to get every set in the new line... Prison Carriage- Check, Impulse Wizard- Check. Hmm, a bit still to go...:look:

Overall...

Castle- 1

Kingdoms- 2

Knight's Kingdom- Nil (I only have the Large Figures)

:shark: Flobnomdob out!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I had the same thought, years ago, and didn't go with it for the EXACT SAME REASON!

As much as I like the new 'Dragons', KKII had the (IMO!) most BAD-AZZ-LOOKING 'bad guys' in the history of LEGO castle. Period, bar none, end of frakkin' story! If the level of detail that we have NOW with figures such as the mounted dragon knight had been around THEN, I'd probably have FIVE TIMES as many 'shadow knights' as I currently have. At LEAST.

Someone is very enthusiastic about their opinions. True, KKII had some of the best bad guys ever.

The Medieval Market Village is still for sale - there is nothing (other than lack of funds I suppose) stopping you from buying it!

Dude, you have NO idea!

If my wife was to roll her eyes at me any more than she already does, she'd suffer from motion sickness.

Well i have never been really big into castle but i bought the village to add to my town and the new stuff blends into that nicely.

I think it would be a great addition to anyone's 'farm' layout...yanno, aside from the dudes running around in armour with swords.

I think your wife would get along extremely well with mine. I think she is a little sick/annoyed hearing about legos all the time. At least, I found this forum to help vent that information!

If I couldn't come here and 'chat up a storm', either a) I'd be divorced, or b) my head would explode.

My wife made the mistake of asking me about my army-building last night. I don't think she expected a 90min-long answer.
