Athos Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 The lonely cowboy makes a grueling crossing of the desolate desert. The figure is inspired by Rooster Cogburn from the True Grit remake. I really like the graduate's gown for a long western coat: You can check out the set here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/37777874@N06/sets/72157627363138867/ Steve Quote
Tazmaniac Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Haha I watched that movie last night, and this is a great likeness to that character. Can we get an over view of the vig? I think if you changed the arms to black it'd tie the coat in better. Quote
Athos Posted August 22, 2011 Author Posted August 22, 2011 Can we get an over view of the vig? Sure! I think if you changed the arms to black it'd tie the coat in better. I thought about that, but it made him too black. Steve Quote
Khorne Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Looks like you're on a Wild West roll there, Athos, with all of these wonderful WW creations popping up . You captured the marshal real well using only official LEGO pieces. "This guy looks like Cogburn" was one of the first things that came to mind when looking at the picture. I was happily surprised when I read the description and found out it was indeed the marshal you based this guy on . I really like the use of the graduates gown as a longcoat, but as TazManianc said, the effect might be more reinforced when coupled with black arms. Too bad, it makes the figure look too black in your opinion. Are you planning on building more True Grit creations? Quote
