K-Nut Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 "Well at least we got in. I'll use my Water gem against the cauldron from the back row., unless there's something wrong with that."
Quarryman Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 "Looks like it's time I pulled out my Garnet and cast an Earth spell at Goldraum the Cauldron, from the back row, as usual."
CorneliusMurdock Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Cronk will bash Evil Turkey A from front row. Finally Cronk get to bash something that literally evil!
Quarryman Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 "Well at least we got in. I'll use my Water gem against the cauldron from the back row., unless there's something wrong with that." "As a matter of fact, Althior, I do think there is something wrong with that. The Cauldron is the only enemy I can achieve double damage against, whereas you have the possibility of double damage using either Lightning or Wind against one of the flying Turkeys, so I rather think you should do that." "Then Nyx could target the other Turkey with Lightning or Light, whichever she prefers." "And yes, with three mages in the party I think each of us mages should target one enemy, and then our companions can target one enemy each as well." "Furthermore I think the most important thing to do would be to get rid of the Cauldron as that could deal any of us 6 damage regardless of where we are in battle, something that could take me out for instance. (yes, you may ridicule the weak Mage, but please leave that for after the battle, okay?)" "I'm entirely open to other suggestions or just having flaws in my reasoning pointed out though, as I have a feeling there's something here that I haven't thought about"
CorneliusMurdock Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Cronk think Mage Namyrra have good plan. If mages can do double damage to each enemy, the rest of party clean up what left. Fight go faster and party can have more resources for fights in future.
K-Nut Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Very clever, Namyrra. Then I guess I'll bash evil with Cronk and try out my Wind gem on Evil Turkey A from the back row."
Pandora Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Excellent work team! So as my Lightning spell will potentially cause double damage to all enemies in the event of an overflow, I shall cast Lightning on Evil Flying Turkey B from the back row. I'd also recommend you use Lightning (rather than wind), Althior, in case of a surge. Party Order: Cronk Bacari Nyx Althior Namyrra Sylph
Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Attack Evil Turkey A Back Row with Crossbow And when the battles over, I'd like a bite.
K-Nut Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 (edited) :wall: "I can't seem to get anything right in these battles. Just kidding. I'll (again) go by your advice Nyx and target Evil Turkey A from the Back row with my Lightning gem." "Bacari, maybe you should target flying Turkey B because Cronk and I already have Flying turkey A. " "Let's hope this battle will end quick." Edited August 29, 2011 by K-nut

Dannylonglegs Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 "It seems like everyone's in agreement then. I'll target Goldraum the Cauldron from the front row. Also, I'm not sure if it's possible, but I'd like to try and draw his ire so that if he does get an attack, he will target me and not Shady."

Cronk takes the Sentinel position, protecting everyone from physical damage for the next round. Bacari gets a good shot at the second Evil Turkey, causing 6 damage. Nyx's magic powers burst with the element of Wood, with the magical briars pushing out from the floor causing 12 damage to all three enemies, and instantly erasing both Turkeys from the battle. With his target defeated, Althior turns his spell towards Goldraum the Cauldron, but the enchanted cauldron Boils Over, taking 6 health from the mage and pushing him on the verge of being knocked out. Luckily Namyrra's earth-elemental spell saves the day, as it takes the rest of the cauldrons health away from it, ending the battle. THE BATTLE IS VICTORIOUS! I guess my brother wasn't so wrong getting you involved after all. But I swear, I don't know anything about grandmother's disappearance. Good luck finding the others." Then the furious chef bursts into the kitchen. "With all due respect, Master Goldraum, if you have finished with your funny business, I have a dinner to make. Now GET OUT OF MY KITCHEN!!!" The party and the purple-clad wizard decide it's best to leave.
K-Nut Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 "Ay! I wonder if I can still use my potion on myself even thought it gives back ten health? I'm really bad at fighting. "
Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 "Ay! I wonder if I can still use my potion on myself even thought it gives back ten health? Well, plus 10 you get to 8/8 and 2 left over, so I assume you could just use it. Then in inventory write Potion (2 Health Remaining) I'm really bad at fighting. I haven't lost 1 health left. BRING ON THE FURNITURE!
CorneliusMurdock Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Well, plus 10 you get to 8/8 and 2 left over, so I assume you could just use it. Then in inventory write Potion (2 Health Remaining) Cronk think that only work if someone in party brought measuring cup.
K-Nut Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Well, plus 10 you get to 8/8 and 2 left over, so I assume you could just use it. Then in inventory write Potion (2 Health Remaining) I haven't lost 1 health left. BRING ON THE FURNITURE! If you're math worked I would have 4 left over since I still have 2 Health. Let's bring on Zed the Bed! His special will probably make us fall asleep.
Quarryman Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Well, plus 10 you get to 8/8 and 2 left over, so I assume you could just use it. Then in inventory write Potion (2 Health Remaining) "Pretty sure that when you use your potion you spend it all, regardless of whether it restores 1 or 10 health." "Now, where do we go next? Let's see that map again, shall we?" "So, may I suggest that we check the Guest Room that's the only room on this floor that we haven't visited yet, and then move on to the second floor?"
CorneliusMurdock Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Cronk think Guest Room good idea. Though party should not forget sun room before moving upstairs.
Sandy Posted August 30, 2011 Author Posted August 30, 2011 Vice Warlocker Goldraum wishes good luck to the party, and heads upstairs to join his brother and wife. The party takes a peek at the Guest Room, but do not find anything alarming. The strange sounds seem to come elsewhere. What room will the party check next?
CorneliusMurdock Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Since it look like party will go through foyer when party go upstairs anyway, Cronk think party should check sun room really quickly.
Quarryman Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Cronk think Guest Room good idea. Though party should not forget sun room before moving upstairs. "Damn! Indeed, let's not forget the Sun Room, it would be most unfortunate if we did. " "Let's not forget the foyer either. " "Well, we have to go through the Foyer to get to the second floor, so forgetting that room seems rather impossible. " "So, after checking this rather dull and boring guest room should we perhaps proceed to the Sun Room? And then we can go upstairs?"
Sandy Posted August 30, 2011 Author Posted August 30, 2011 Since it look like party will go through foyer when party go upstairs anyway, Cronk think party should check sun room really quickly. The sun room beyond the parlour proves to be empty as well. The walls and the ceiling of the sun room are made of ornamental crystal, so the group are quick to notice a strange purple light emitting from the second-floor windows directly above the sunroom. There is something sinister going on upstairs for sure. As they head to the second floor, they find the foyer empty as well. The party climbs the winding staircase, and arrive to a hallway. Which room will the party check next?
CorneliusMurdock Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Purple light must be coming from master bedroom but Cronk torn. Should party investigate light or make sure children okay in nursery?
