Peppermint_M Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Tesni smiled at a well executed attack. "I will target Scary Crow C from the front row!"
Brickdoctor Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Order of Action: Bartholomew Christopher Thrain Tesni Jess Tomas We do have a choice here. With the Sentinel position taken, we don't have to target all the enemies. We could concentrate attacks on the Scarecrow. On the other hand, there's the chance that the Scarecrow could kill the Scary Crows for us, in which case we would want to target only the Scary Crows. What do you guys think?
Peppermint_M Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Tesni thought for a moment. "If we are protected, it would make sense to attack the scarecrow. Also if we prevail and destroy the scarecrow our attacks will hit the left over foes yes? If we do not hurt the scarecrow enough for a kill, he will maybe murder some crows. I shall have to reconsider my first action."
Brickdoctor Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 I say we concentrate on Scary Crow B. It's got low health and it's the next in line to be murdered. (if the Scarecrow is indeed murdering in alphabetical order) If the Scarecrow murders Scary Crow C instead of B, that's like our attack dealing eleven more damage.
Peppermint_M Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 "I am unsure of this, but I shall target the scary crow B? Should others maybe target the scarecrow? I will only do what is best for the party"
Brickdoctor Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Perhaps we should have two each target the two weaker Scary Crows (to be safe, in case one fails) and the remaining two target the Scarecrow?
Fred Fred Burger Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 (edited) I say that we split our attacks over all the crows and hope for a good turn, either we attack both off the full health crows and the scarecrow with two people each(which is what I recommend), or we should attack the scarecrow and one off the full health crows with three people each, or if we really wanted to get rid of the crows(which we should remember the scarecrow can do for us) we could attack both of the full health birds and with 2 people each, and both the damaged birds with one person each. So friends do you want to go with one of my strategy's or something else entirely?Anyway I think it is time to be bold? It doesn't matter if we kill the two weak crows if we spend a fourth of our battle doing it! we should attack our strongest enemies and then finish off the week ones. And I don't think we should attack crow B because it only has 2 health and is next in line to be eaten. Edited September 6, 2011 by Fred Fred Burger
Sisco Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Perhaps we should have two each target the two weaker Scary Crows (to be safe, in case one fails) and the remaining two target the Scarecrow? "I vote this strategy. Tesni and I could target the Scarecrow, since we're the most powerful."

And I don't think we should attack crow B because it only has 2 health and is next in line to be eaten. But see, if we kill Crow B and Crow C gets eaten instead, then we only have to deal 2 Damage instead of 13.
Fred Fred Burger Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 But see, if we kill Crow B and Crow C gets eaten instead, then we only have to deal 2 Damage instead of 13. I see your point, I have another idea. Two of us attack crow B, one of us attacks crow D and the other three attack crow E. That gives us a chance to kill all of the birds, but the chances are that we will kill at least two.
Brickdoctor Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 I see your point, I have another idea. Two of us attack crow B, one of us attacks crow D and the other three attack crow E. That gives us a chance to kill all of the birds, but the chances are that we will kill at least two. Sounds good. Jess, since you have the highest power, you should be the one who attacks Scary Crow D, I think. I'll attack the Scarecrow from the back row.
Sisco Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 "Alright, I'll attack Scary crow D from the front row."
Brickdoctor Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Actually, I attack Scary Crow B from the back row, and Tomas, I suggest you do the same. We're already in the back row, so if we receive Special Damage, we don't suffer for it.
Tamamono Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Actually, I attack Scary Crow B from the back row, and Tomas, I suggest you do the same. We're already in the back row, so if we receive Special Damage, we don't suffer for it. "Good idea. I'll attack Scary Crow B from the back row!"
Fred Fred Burger Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 I'll attack Crow E from the front row.
Brickdoctor Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 I'll attack Crow E from the front row. Remember, with the Sentinel position taken, we don't have to target everyone. Please target the Scarecrow.
Peppermint_M Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 "Then I shall attack the Scarecrow from the front row!"
Sandy Posted September 7, 2011 Author Posted September 7, 2011 Results of Round Two of the Scarecrow Battle: >Bartholomew vs. Scary Crow B - Damage Christopher vs. Scary Crow E - Miss Thrain vs. Scarecrow - Special Damage Tesni vs. Scarecrow - Extra Critical Hit Jess vs. Scary Crow D - Critical Hit >Tomas vs. Scary Crow B - Shield The second round of the battle begins. Thrain's Sentinel protects the party from physical damage for this entire round. This prevents Bartholomew from being damaged by the second Scary Crow. Sir Christopher himself misses his target. The Scarecrow then murders the second crow, again for no gain. Tesni deals extra critical damage to the demonic Scarecrow, razing 14 health from it. The rogue Jess scores a critical hit on the fourth Scary Crow, causing 12 damage to it and thus defeating it. Tomas receives a Miracle from his deity, restoring up to 10 health to all allies. Three enemies remain, so the battle continues. Enemies: Scarecrow Type: Demon Level: 5 Health: 6/21 Special I: Murder of Crows – Consume a Scary Crow to restore full health to self. Special II: Caw – Causes the afraid-effect, which makes the target flee to the back row in terror and stay there until the effect is remedied or the battle is over. Any enemy not targeted will get a Free Hit on the party after everyone have acted. Note that the battle may not last more than four rounds, or the field will be ruined.
Peppermint_M Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 "My hit was a success, now we face three enemies! Should pairs of us face each foe or a three attack the Scarecrow incase he murders a crow and regains lost health?"
Brickdoctor Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Actually, I say we don't target the Scarecrow at all. It's down to six health, and we don't want to risk it rising back to twenty-one. Remember that the Scarecrow can only deal Special Damage if it's targeted. With Tomas' Miracle, the party has enough health to absorb a Free Hit, so I think we should attack only the Crows. If we kill all the Crows, then even if the Scarecrow rolls Special Damage, he'll perform Caw instead of Murder.
Peppermint_M Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 "Alright then, I shall Target Scary Crow E from the front row. Cryf and I shall make short work of it!"
Brickdoctor Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Let's split this up then: Tesni, Thrain, and Tomas should attack one Crow. (E) Jess, Christopher, and I should attack the other. © Order of Actions: Thrain Christopher Bartholomew Tesni Jess Tomas I'll attack Scary Crow C from the back row.
Tamamono Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Tesni, Thrain, and Tomas should attack one Crow. (E) "Sounds good; the scarecrow can wait until we've gotten rid of it's healing method. I'll attack Scary Crow E from the back row!"

One of the Scary Crows caws at Thrain, making him afraid and sending him to the backrow. Sir Christopher swings his sword against the other Scary Crow, causing 7 damage to it. Bartholomew takes 2 damage from the crow, while Tesni takes 3 from the other. The other Scary Crow makes Jess afraid as well, forcing her to spend the rest of the battle in the back row. Tomas whacks the Scary Crow he targets for 7 damage. The Scarecrow takes a Free Hit against Thrain, who is protected by both his shield and his new position in the back row, and thus only suffers 1 damage. Three enemies still remain. Brickdoctor Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Ugh. That did not go well. Shall we concentrate on one of the Crows?
