I'm pretty sure the gold was meant for Nyx.

"So you do mind. Well, never trust anyone who gives you 150 Gold. Especially not if there's a powerful mage around. And somebody else's faster than you. There will be other ways to make money." Henry grumbles something about mages and gold, while he sits down and walks off to order some food.

Congratulations, Henry! You won 150 gold!

"Now you've confused me. Wasn't Haldor first? And is the gold really available?"

~Scheherazade's rumours have been updated!~

Ellaria gazes upon the heroes returning from their quests with admiration. If only she could build up the guts to open her mouth and talk to one of them... She could learn so much from them, to prepare her for future trials. Why did she have to be so afraid of everything? Deep inside, she knew the people of Tumpkin Village were to blame, as they were the ones who had loved her so and then cast her away with sticks and stones, thinking she was a changeling. There was so much prejudice and fear in this world, Ellaria didn't want to add any more to that amount, but she couldn't help herself...

Maybe if she was accepted into the quest she so humbly signed into, she would gain courage and maybe even friends.

Nyx saunters back to Heroica Hall, feeling fresh and flushed from a facial at an undisclosed location, and fired up with the satisfaction of a job well done. She is disinclined to inflict severe pain and anguish while in such a good mood.

"One more thing." The conquistador finds some dropped things on the floor, out of Bacari's pocket, 2 gold and a Sapphire gem. He gives it to the nearest person, Nyx the Mage/Pandora. Congrats, it's yours.

Bacari is no more, or so it seems......

Nyx jumps up and down on the spot out of sheer excitement, by the time she has calmed down enough to thank the kind Conquistador, he has disappeared into the crowd within Heroica Hall. She shrugs, admires the beautiful and powerful gem before pocketing it along with the two gold, and meanders over to the quest board. Having a taste for blood, and having proven herself once more, she signs up to both Quest: #4 Taming the Lions and Quest #5: Cave Sounds with a wicked grin. With this done she sashays over to the bar and orders her favourite Flaming Gumball from Scheherezade, slumping delicately into a nearby pile of cushions to enjoy her hard earned drink and wait...

No, Haldor said he didn't see it, or wasn't there, I believe you can keep the gold, I juts was giving it out, no good letting stuff go to waste.

Haldor goes up to the knight whose name I can't bother to type () and appologises.

"I'm so sorry for doubting your existance my friend, I was just a little err, distracted *the knight notices Haldor's gaze is resting on a certain Elf*. But I am sure we shall get along fine, how was your life as regimental 32nd legonarry thingy you said about?"

Haldor fumbles his words as his mind wanders onto whether he should have told a certain elf what the Norse word he said meant.

OOC: The 150 gold and Bacari's gem are gone, as Sandy said in the rules thread.

Tesni saw the girl in the corner, the one she had rather alarmed during her terse arrival. Stepping over she inclined her head.

"I am sorry to have caused a fright on your part. I was less sure footed coming in then, blustering in like a newly horned ram, trying to make a dent on the herd. I see you are learned in healing?"

1st, sorry Sandy, I guess no one keeps the gold. After reading your post in the Rules and Discussions Topic.

Now for the Cavalry Regiment, it was tough, always camping in the rain. And my old captain kept insisting of some "New World"" or something, and how the planet has more land. I never know if it is true or not. He said that the stars have a pattern, and that the pattern shows there are more continents. What about your life?

"If you want to see my story I can quote it again re-tell it but it is long"

Haldor looks at something over his shoulder, then hastily looks back at what's-his-face again. Haldor says he has to go and will continue tommorow at about the fourth hour and leaves in a hurry.

No worries, never mind, I shall reread search my memory.

Jess watched Haldor bustle out of the bar, with a look of amusement gracing her features.

"He seemed quite taken with me, didn't he?"

Cronk back after successful quest! Hello Friend Ranger Docken. Cronk bash many things.

What this Cronk hear about Ranger Bacari? Ranger Bacari was odd fellow but deserved better. Cronk came to respect Ranger Bacari on quest to mage house. Why Knight Alexandre do this thing?

Boomingham saunters back into Heroica Hall. "Hello all!" he says as he beams. "Drinks are on me!"

"Drinks are free!" shouts someone.

Boomingham continues to smile. "Exactly!" Boomingham surveys the hall, looking for famaliar faces from before he departed for the quest. He spots his friend, Tseni, and wades through the ever growing crowd of heroes to be so that he can sit next to her. "I hope you remember me darling. How'd that sword of your's do bashing farm riff-raff?" Boomingham notices Jess as well and extends a hand of greeting. "Hello there. Lord Boomingham. I fought alongside the Veterans, you know." This was true. Now that the library had published them, Boomingham was not shocked to see that he at least recognized them all. He turned back to Tesni. "Your fellow Norse proved himself alongside me. Eric is a hell of a guy. Little fellow, Hybros, he was a smart little bloke too. I'd love to quest with them both again. Again the elf who led the quest... lovely elf, simply lovely. I forgot to ask him if he too fought in the Orcish invasion, he's old enough to have."

Um.. maybe because he was poisoning cows and shot a crossbow at me?

And it's not like I killed him, he just ran away. Probably going to turn into a pirate of some sort.

"My fellow barbarian you mean?" Tesni smiled, "Our quest went well, we did lose two fields to unexpectedly strong enemies. There were many wolves at one point and the a Scarecrow that managed to keep us at bay too long."

"My mistake, I've never been good at geography. One time I walked for three days in the wrong direction before I noticed my map was upside down. Very near missed the Battle of the Field," says Boomingham, referring to a famous battle from the Orcish invasion. "Aren't scarecrows the worst? Give me the willies." He hugs Tesni tightly, and then lets her go. "It's good to see you again! I loved questing, but I did miss bumming around the hall. Where's that barkeep?"

Alexandre joins in.

"Battle of the Field- nice fight, I was in. Smashed some with our cavalry, they never saw it coming!"

Hybros steps into the Hall once again, this time feeling much more confident after his quest. He looked back on it fondly, glad he got to work with the five fine allies he was with. He found a chair near the bar, and collapsed into it, exhausted from his journey. Hybros ordered a glass of water, and waited for his new friends to arrive.

"What an adventure", he said to himself. Noticing the crowd gathered around the quest board, Hybros wandered over, and forced his small form through the legs of heroes to the front of the crowd. He noticed two new quests had been posted. As worn down as he was from his quest, Hybros couldn't resist the promise of a new adventure, and signed his name under both Quest #4: Taming the Lions and Quest #5: Cave Sounds.

"I'm not sure about that Lions quest, the Shadeaux must not be happy with my allies and I after we defeated that Umbra character..." Hybros muttered to himself.

Returning to the bar, Hybros noticed a small figure, similar in appearance to himself. Could it be someone like himself? No, impossible. He hadn't seen another imp since...

"Hello there", Hybros said to the little Rogue. "I hear your name is De'Kras. My name is Hybros, why don't you tell me a little bit about yourself?

"You were there?! *oh2* I was under the impression that you were only 20 years old! That battle took place well over 250 years ago! Perhaps Elves do not age the same way as humans, or perhaps you too had an unfriendly mage freeze you in time, but I think you may be confusing it with a more recent Battle of the Field. Then again, I may be ignorant to what you mean!"

Listening to the conversations around her, Tesni took out the fang dagger from her pack. Such a small blade would not be of use to her. She flicked it up and down in her hand, mis-handling it the blade flew across and embedded itself into a wooden column...
