Etzel Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I agree, a really cool battle Sandy! Now I certainly hope Mirror Maurice is as bad fighter as the real one Quote
Sandy Posted October 25, 2011 Author Posted October 25, 2011 Glad to have you Smilicito, and welcome to Eurobricks. You're best resource is to read through the first page of this topic, if you need clarification on any of the items, many of the people on here are willing to answer any specific questions you post. Once you've read through the first post, make up your character, put them in your signature, and add a post to the Heroica Hall thread introducing your character. More chances to participate in quests should hopefully be upcoming soon. Glad you have more patience than I do... Quote
K-Nut Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Sorry, Althior, I think Finnegan is my new favorite character. Mine too! The shop will stay open for a month. Few! I was afraid I'd miss it. Hopefully it'll have some gems! Quote
Zepher Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 God, everyone has been so inventive with quests! If this keep up we will never run out of things to do for the Hall! Quote
Chromeknight Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 I hate to be playing this wench's games, but fine. I'll offer four health points in exchange for the number of words and one of the words. On behalf of all those following the quest and trying to figure out the puzzle, Thank you!Hopefully Lady Wren doesn't wuss out and just give you the word that Cronk already guessed.Even better if she gives you the word with the 'z' in it... Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Thank god for Cronk! Cronk just happy not to think about anagram anymore. Anagrams suck. Seriously, people, cryptograms are so much better. So if I were to use it now, the item could become a sword that was (WP 11)? It can still be upgraded and infused with gems, right, the no changing it thing only applying to the type of weapon? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Hurray for Cronk! I had 'Heroica will fail' and didn't get any farther than that. Quote
legobodgers Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 I am really enjoying seeing quest 7 unfold, well done Zepher. Also, is zoot named so because of its use in Monty Python and the holy grail at the castle anthrax? Quote
Khorne Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Oh crap! Missed all of the important stuff again . Damn you, timezone! Good job on solving the anagram, Cornelius. Quote
Sandy Posted October 26, 2011 Author Posted October 26, 2011 Also, is zoot named so because of its use in Monty Python and the holy grail at the castle anthrax? Actually, I took the name from the villain in one of my childhood's favorite tv-shows, The Tribe. Meet Zoot. Quote
Fred Daniel Yam Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Actually, I took the name from the villain in one of my childhood's favorite tv-shows, The Tribe. Meet Zoot. I thought of that too, but I never thought you would have watched it! Basically, for those who don't know, Zoot is the antagonist of the Tribe, about a bunch of kids who survive after all the adults have died. He dies in the first season though but was so scary, people kept on seeing him everywhere. Quote
Sandy Posted October 26, 2011 Author Posted October 26, 2011 I thought of that too, but I never thought you would have watched it! Not only did I watch it from tv as a kid, I also have DVD-boxes of the first three seasons, as well. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 I was never allowed to watch it. (My parents had views) I was thinking of the Muppet, Gosh Jebadiahs, this is a vexing battle! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Wait, so was Zoot your idea, Sandy? A new recurring antagonist? Quote
Fred Daniel Yam Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Agh!! My first battle and I already have to use my potion. Quote
Khorne Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Wait, so was Zoot your idea, Sandy? A new recurring antagonist? Zoot is an evil Heroica deity and is part of Sandy's Heroica pantheon. You can see all of the current gods in the library . Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Seems like Zoot is a popular name, it just so happens that I had a main antagonist named Zoot, the White wizard, in a lego fantasy story I was cooking up when Sandy was producing Princess Quest. He was forever on an academic search for the physical essence of nothingness Quote
legobodgers Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Thank you for clarifying Sandy, you have done an incredible job in setting up this fantastical world, thank you. Quote
Sandy Posted October 26, 2011 Author Posted October 26, 2011 Wait, so was Zoot your idea, Sandy? A new recurring antagonist? Like Khorne said, Zoot is a god (of the void and the demons, specifically), but I have no intentions of culminating this game to an epic battle with an evil god, so anybody planning to do that can forget those plans right away. Unlike many fantasy novel writers, I resent the idea of "physical" deities who can be fought against by common mortals. Any QM can of course pitch the heroes against any number of Zoot's followers or demons, but the gods themselves are a no-go. The gods may have manifestations, but they are more like concepts rather than actual living beings. Thank you for clarifying Sandy, you have done an incredible job in setting up this fantastical world, thank you. Thanks! I wanted to leave much of the world open for player/QM influences, that's why the events I depict in my quests are concentrated in and around Eubric. Even though I have my detailed ideas, I don't want anyone to feel restricted by them. If you want your character to worship some other deity than the ones I created, for example, be my guest. Likewise you are free to add any kind of race you can think of into play, although I don't like directly ripping off popular franchises such as LotR or Harry Potter (Masked Builder: the Dementor was alright, though, since they're such cool creatures). Glad you guys have been enjoying the game thus far! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Zoot is an evil Heroica deity and is part of Sandy's Heroica pantheon. You can see all of the current gods in the library . Boy, do I feel stupid. I completely forgot about the deities when I was trying to find significant names in the anagram, and it still didn't click after Khorne mentioned it. Quote
Fred Daniel Yam Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Does anyone have any idea what the advanced classes are going to be? I think clerics and knights are plains. Mages are battlemages??? Rogues as assassins??? But I can't think of anything for the ranger or barbarian. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Does anyone have any idea what the advanced classes are going to be? I think clerics and knights are plains. Mages are battlemages??? Rogues as assassins??? But I can't think of anything for the ranger or barbarian. The advanced classes are when a character levels up to level fifteen, and can pick another class to be combined with their current class. For instance, you are a Ranger, and can become an Assassin, if combined with the Rouge class. We only know three classes for sure, but Sandy has already given us a sneak-peek at them. Won't be long till someone reaches 15, and we'll get to see all Advanced Classes! Quote
Sandy Posted October 26, 2011 Author Posted October 26, 2011 Won't be long till someone reaches 15, and we'll get to see all Advanced Classes! That's right! And because I'm feeling generous, here's another batch of three. None of their abilities will be revealed before they come to play, though. Quote
