If the next enemy is a giant burrowing desert worm, this is the most cliche quest in existence.

So I'm not the first one to come to that conclusion.

I HOPE it's not a Giant Enemy Crab...

Here is a question for the players not on Quest 29, 30, or 31; do you have a favorite of the three quests? I realize that the topics started only a week or so ago, I am just curious as to the current thoughts. Obviously we on the quests three can't know what is going on in the other quests, so don't go into great detail.

Man, what is with all of the QMs' obsession with worms?! *re-reads pretty much every Mafia game here* Oh, that's why...:laugh:

I"m not obsessed with worms. :look:

Yeah, but Rumble Strike and Xarrzan apparently are. (Well, assuming Rumble Strike actually goes through with the obvious "sand worm" battle he's building up to. )

Obviously, in an attempt to defy stereotypes, the rumbling in a desert area is not signifying a giant sand worm, but is hinting at the fact that the hump in the ground is really an obese sand giants stomach and that the rumbles are his snoring.

And you expect a party of level 2's to take it down and out?! *huh*

...

()

I was going to say something to Doc, but then I realized I could both set up something perfectly AND tease the rest of you Dastan Questers the way you've been teasing me. Doc (and probably Masked, K-nut, and Legonater) will know what I'm talking about. :devil_laugh:

So, Doc, about this situation: two words: Ailyn Vel. Just stretch it out longer than the original, as obviously doing it too soon would stop us dead in our tracks.:devil:

EDIT: Doc, can I say for the record that I am enjoying this interaction far more than I humanly should be?

What the hell, TheBoyWonder??? Can I just say that I'm seriously creeped out by the fact that you've created an NPC love interest with my name?! :distressed::damn:

Wow. Obviously Leo took his rejection by nearly every single female player character very hard.

I wonder, can you fight an NPC in the arena? Given the wrong kind of provocation, I'm sure Nerwen would relish the opportunity to whale on the brobric wench.

You know, I think that'd be the one time when combat in the Hall would actually be encouraged.

Wow! I can't really say. I have a hard time understanding Brickdoctor's method of fighting, but I think that just makes the quest more interesting. I think I may choose Zepher's quest though...but I really can't say.

Cliches do work though, and as it is good that the party knows what they are up against, it's not necessarily a bad thing to be cliche in a newbie quest.

tl;dr - obvious sandworm is obvious

Bwahaha! Looks just like me!

Nice job, Rumble!

Yeah. Nice job on giving us what most of us*Looks at kadabra* thought the rumbling noise was coming from.

...and a giant sandworm erupted out from under the dunes, along with a couple of smaller sandwights.

Called it. Really awesome piece use of those Cars eyes.

That awkward moment when you know the action you just took was right for the character, but you don't know for the life of you why, or where to go from there...

Any suggestions? I'm honestly drawing a blank on what to do, character-wise. :sceptic:

I kinda did some of that in Quest #17 (Back Story) I drew a blank, and ignored it for a while until I could figure out something to do. Another useful decision is the "long run" idea. You try to get from point A to Point B, making it up as you go along. That's what I do half the time.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I know where I'm going, I think I may have just made too much of a leap all at once. But at the same time, it just seemed like what Arthur would do...man, if he's already this way WITHOUT anyone goading him on... :look:

It also doesn't help that Knighton is the only available character with a real personality that Arthur can talk to (i.e. everyone else is offline). If Skrall were to comment about it, I might have someplace to start.

QM Note:

I'm going to assume that you want to drag the Teuthisal to a fire in the fort, because if you're trying to drag a fire, I'm going to take away more HP.

You drag the dead Teuthisal to a nearby fire, cook it, and eat it. You notice that the soldiers look disgusted.

:rofl::snicker::laugh:

You have just made my day Flipz and Doc. The whole arm-eating thing and fire-dragging.

Um and Flipz, why the hell did you try to eat him? :look:
