Brickdoctor Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Edit: In other news, my own personal, updated Thormanil minifig (or the parts, at least) are somewhere between the UK and Alaska. Quite looking forward to getting that one in the mail, heh. Looking forward to seeing it! Quote
Peanuts Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 I'd like to ask Zepher a question about his Arena quest: What exactyl happens if a rogue attempts to flee and you actually roll "flee"? Quote
Sandy Posted September 24, 2011 Author Posted September 24, 2011 As you probably saw by now, all five current quests are now active. More quests will be up to join into once a few of these quests have concluded. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Five active quests at once, absolutely amazing and testament to the hard work you've put in getting everything established Sandy. Also a great job being done by the new QMs who are adding to the RPG in fine style. Love it Quote

Pandora Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 QM Note: I'm starting early, again. I gave everyone 15 hours. dannylonglegs- you will be controling Nyx/Pandora for the time being. Brickdoctor Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Quick editing done! This is going to be an intense battle, I can see it already. Personally, I think it's going to be one to two, maybe three or four rounds if the rolls are unlucky. Especially with a Level 10.5 Mage going up against enemies with Health around 10. Quote

JimBee Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 I'd like to say that I am really enjoying watching these five quests run at the same time. All are run by different hosts, and all are doing a great job. I was worried that no one else would step up to the plate after Sandy's first three quests ended, but I was dead wrong, am enthused to hear that more quests are well on their way. I really hope to see this enthusiasm continue for this game. I may even have to think of some ideas for a quest of my own, once I understand how to go about creating one, of course. As a side note, playing this has really taken me back to the days of playing one of my favorite games, Lunar Legend (I think the Lunar series was mentioned in here before by darkdragon). Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Adventurers in quest 8. You are all lucky Dannylonglegs rolled a shield, or half of you would surely be dead. The battle continues! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 How are you calculating damage? As a Level 6 enemy, Bacari should've dealt 3 Damage to Nyx and 6 Damage to the other two, not 5 and 10. And rolling a Miss is a separate roll from Damage. Quote

No, tripleshot was a ranger skill- if you check the ranger stats, it is power (Bacari's was 4) plus level (6), so ten damage. As for the miss- sorry~ It was damage, but for some reason I added in miss. Though I guess it wouldn't matter this time, as Sylph healed everypne to full health anyways. I shall be on alert next time! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 But damage dealt by enemies is not calculated the same way as damage by heroes. Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 But damage dealt by enemies is not calculated the same way as damage by heroes. I know. So are you saying that I do damage based on level? That would mean Bacari would do even more damage then 10. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 I know. So are you saying that I do damage based on level? That would mean Bacari would do even more damage then 10. As far as I know, the Damage should be equal to the enemy's level.Unless you want to specify a multiplying modifier in the Special, but then you have to edit your enemy in the middle of a battle. Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 As far as I know, the Damage should be equal to the enemy's level. Ok, then next time he gets tripleshot, he'll do 12 damage. I just did things based on Bacari's character. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Ok, then next time he gets tripleshot, he'll do 12 damage. I just did things based on Bacari's character. That should be 18 Damage spread out among the three targets, not for each shot. He should only do 12 Damage if he Tripleshots and there're only two heros left. Otherwise he should shoot thrice, with 6 Damage per shot.Perhaps Sandy can clarify. Quote

At tripleshot it says- "(e.g. WP: 3 plus level 2 = 5 damage per target)" Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 At tripleshot it says- "(e.g. WP: 3 plus level 2 = 5 damage per target)" But the Damage he can deal per hit is 6, because he's a Level 6 enemy. I wrote 18 because that's the total Damage of the three shots. (6x3)As far as I can tell, that's how Damage has been calculated in Sandy's quests. Quote
Zepher Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 It is. Damage taken by the hero is equal to the power of the enemy, unless you someone indicate something else. We can't be randomly guessing at how much damage is done... that's not fair at all. Quote

I know, but tripleshot is power (in case of an enemy, it should be level, I assume) plus level. (6 + 6) So that is 12 damage, and it says per target. So 12 damage to each target. Is this clear to everyone? Edited September 25, 2011 by Capt.JohnPaul Quote
JimBee Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 I know, but tripleshot is power (in case of an enemy, it should be level, I assume) plus level. (6 + 6) So that is 12 damage, and it says per target. So 12 damage to each target. Is this clear to everyone? I understand what you're saying, but perhaps you should have clarified this beforehand. Everyone is assuming the enemy's special ability does normal damage to three targets. Just because the Ranger class's Triple Shot does power+level doesn't necessarily mean an enemy's does. You didn't state otherwise anywhere, which is why people are confused. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 The problem is that you're taking a hero power and applying it directly to an enemy, instead of taking a hero power and adapting it to the enemy. Quote
