Tanma Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Tanma's character De'kra is a goldmine of good roleplaying, as is CorneliusMurdock's character Cronk, and Scorpiox's character Skrall (among many others, these are just off the top of my head ), look to them for examples of not just dramatic character acting, but believable responses to the other characters around them. It's funny because of Quest 20, when De'kra was literally in a gold mine. More on the discussion at hand, I had an idea for a time travel quest that might have pushed the law. I have since abandoned the idea, but I tend to recycle old concepts in new plans, so it might still be relevant. In the quest, while exploring the post apocalyptic landscape; the questing heroes come upon the graves of the last six veterans of Heroica. These six heroes would be PC's like Cronk, Althior, Skrall, and so on. Now as I said I abandoned the idea, and either way it would have taken place in a potential future that wasn't set in stone. Likewise the plans I had couldn't work in canon, because of some unknown factors, and the characters were never really seen or interacted with. Still, in case I ever decide to reuse aspects of that plan for a quest, would anyone object to their characters being veterans in the future? I probably won't use the idea because my mind has already jumped to other plans, but I might as well get it out of the way just in case. Quote

How about the future the quest is in, is something that must be prevented? or something like that? That way you don't have to worry about it being canon. The idea sounds cool. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Seriously, xxlrocka, people just said that RPGer's roleplaying was an inconsiderate move, and now you play along? And yell in all-caps on top of that? Quote

I don't mind personally, though Skrall has quite a ways to go before finally achieving any semblance of veteran status. It would be quite ironic however as Skrall initially arrived at the hall with a deep set hatred for its founders. But like I said, feel free. Quote

But I just figured, that would require at least two jumps in time, one to the bad future, and one to the time were it must be prevented. Time travel makes my brain hurt. Quote

Jedi master Brick Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Tanma was posting earlier about a quest with 6 pc as vetrans so It gives me a question. Who do you think are Heroica's 6 playing character vetran s? Quote
Sandy Posted April 2, 2012 Author Posted April 2, 2012 xxlrocker and RPGer, after several incidents with you two I'm seriously doubting if you are mature enough for this game. You are ruining the fun for other players by your sloppy and disruptive posts, and if the complaints about you guys continue, I will have no choice but to ask you to leave this game. As a kindergarten teacher I have the patience of a saint, but even I have my limits. Consider this your final warning. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I would say the 6 PC Veterans are: Knight: Cronk Cleric: Ellaria Rogue: Atramor Mage: Althior Barbarian: Tesni Ranger: Docken The decisions for Barbarian, Knight and Mage were hard. Quote

I would agree with that. The easy ones for me were Alitor, DOcken and Cronk as they are my 3 favourite characters in the game Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 (edited) I do think Nyx had a shot at Mage, Boomingham in Knight and Haldor as Cleric. Eric also had a good chance at being my Veteran Barbarian. Leo would be the Veteran Heartthrob. EDIT: Well done Thormanil! Edited April 2, 2012 by TheBoyWonder Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Perhaps Heroica hall will one day lead Eubric into a state of political democracy and we can all vote who the next veterans will be Quote
K-Nut Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I would say the 6 PC Veterans are: Knight: Cronk Cleric: Ellaria Rogue: Atramor Mage: Althior Barbarian: Tesni Ranger: Docken The decisions for Barbarian, Knight and Mage were hard. I'm actually pretty honored to be on that list. There are a lot of great Mages in the game as of now (Nyx, Arthur, Cinna, Nur) I think those three were honorable mentions, along with Alexis, Skrall, Boomingham, Hybros, and Haldor to name a few. Quote
CMP Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I'm actually pretty honored to be on that list. Me too. Plus, now we have the obliged in-fighting every badass team holds... I like to think there isn't a group of 6 true veterans...I could think of about 5 different teams of one of each class that could easily be 'veterans'. Quote
K-Nut Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Me too. Plus, now we have the obliged in-fighting every badass team holds... And then we have the head smasher (Tesni) to get us back on track. Quote
Scorpiox Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 And then we have the head smasher (Tesni) to get us back on track. And then of course Althior, the big-girl's-blouse with the fake facial hair. Oh and I do agree entirely with your list TheBoyWonder, except maybe the team might need a more manly spell-flinger. Quote
Fred Daniel Yam Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 That list looks about right, I guess Nur could replace Althior. I've got a question: when looking a t your hero's base class, who are the three you can name as the most memorable/best? For me its Docken, Skrall and Benji. Quote

I'd have another team being Haldor, Cinna, Alexis, Eric, Hybros, and Boomingham. 2 Rogues, 2 Barbarians, 2 Clerics, 2 Mages = utter destruction. Quote
Scorpiox Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Swils and darkdragon, please could you reply to my post in the hall? Quote
Peppermint_M Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Heh, thanks guys. Tesni is great fun to play. Quote
Scorpiox Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Heh, thanks guys. Tesni is great fun to play. We all love everybody's favourite giant intimidating barbarian! Quote

Scorpiox Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 yeah keep yer pants on S'not my fault! That SP3 spiky belt clip is ineffective. Quote
Flipz Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Scorpiox, you still have to ask me if you want to use Skrall for your roleplaying Sorry! I always get you two confused. It often took me three tries a page to keep you guys separated properly when reading Quest 19... Quote
