Scorpiox Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Dear Olinn, Is a hero named Nerwen there? I have served with Cronk. Childish he seems, but weak he is not. Leo Childish isn't the right word. Childish means immature, whereas Child-Like means similar to a child. Quote
Poison Ivy Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 He seems childish, almost Yays, I'm famous! Quote
Palathadric Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Yays, I'm famous! Pardon me...what? Quote
Masked Builder Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Great answer to Boomingham there Cronk! Quote
Poison Ivy Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 (edited) Pardon me...what? Alisha thought, word-for-word, that exact same thing when she met Cronk. Right down to the word confusion of childish and childlike! EDIT: Sorry to repeat myself here, but again, try not to be insulted by Alisha. She's a very abrasive person who likes to insult others and tends to speak her mind. Also, she has a lot of prejudice against different races, and believes that a person shouldn't be trusted if their race can't be in general. Just saying. Edited February 17, 2012 by Poison Ivy Quote
Jebediahs Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 What's the verdict on this, Sandy? I don't mind if we don't get the XP, if you don't think it's fair, but I do think we should at least regain the items we lost, if that's the case. I still think an opportunity was missed here. Sandy ultimately gave you the power decide. I don't think it's fair to go through four weeks of down time when the players could have been participating in another quest only to get their original items back and nothing more. The final post could easily be edited to add something as simple as "the party become wiser from the time travel experience and gain a level." Quote
Scorpiox Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 I think it would be fairer to let the questers keep any items and gold or experiance they recieved during the quest. Or else it seems just like there was no point to going at all. They at least earned something by spending time in the quest. I really hope Sisco's PC is back soon... Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 I too agree they should get a level boost, or at least 300 in Gold. Quote

Waterbrick Down Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 (edited) Party Leader, how will the loot be divided? Banana Bladerang - WP:2, damages all enemies, ranged, retrievable, suitable to rangers and rogues... At long last a throwing scimitar, built for an ogre. Alisha thought, word-for-word, that exact same thing when she met Cronk. Right down to the word confusion of childish and childlike! I for one enjoy players that role play even to the point of not making the most strategic move in light of their character's personality Edited February 17, 2012 by Waterbrick Down Quote
Tanma Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 And thus I described sheep, and there was much rejoicing Species: Ulander SheepClassification: Ungulates (Beast) Average Level Range: 2-3 Abilities: can charm predators with their fuzziness to not hurt them (this ability doesn’t work on Direwolves, the blind, or on people who have swallowed Cockatrice tears in the last ten hours) Lifespan: 13 years in the wild, 31 years if domesticated Diet: grass Habitat: meadows, mountains (only wild sheep) Locomotion: quadruped Senses: poor sight, hearing, taste, smell Behavior: pretty passive, uses charms to escape most predators, led by the cutest adult in their flock, will attack Direwolves with a powerful kick (wild only) Conservation Status: common in captivity, uncommon in wild Additional Data: The most common farm animal in Uland, they originally lived on the mountains. After being discovered, the sheep were domesticated and brought down to the easier to access meadows. The sheep grew plump and less strong there, as they didn’t need to leap from ledge to ledge any more. Direwolves followed them down from the mountains, and hunt them to this day. Wild Ulander Sheep are a bit tougher than their domesticated kin, and will use their powerful legs to drive off Direwolves. Quote
Masked Builder Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 I've been toying with this idea for a month or so but never gotten to anything more than that. Anyways, the one thing I've noticed that this game doesn't have, nothing against you Sandy, are birthdays. So then that got me to thinking about time and how it works with the game and I've decided that one day here equals one game day. I think this would probably be up to Sandy but I think it'd make a cool addition to the game. Quote

Scorpiox Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Yeah it would be cool to introduce dates. So far the only aged character is Leo (turned 18), and Haldor's birthday is 2nd March (the date I joined EB). Quote

Scubacarrot Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 While I gave this a quick thought a while back, I decided it would be easiest if I role-play it so Guts does not care about birthdays, since he is not from Eubric, it is not too difficult to think he comes from a culture where birthdays are not celebrated. Quote
JimBee Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 I don't think there should be time equivalents in-game. The seasons and time are different for everyone on EB, and quests take place over different periods of time. I think it's fine as it is. Quote

I think this would probably be up to Sandy but I think it'd make a cool addition to the game. The only problem with that is how this works on quests. Quest 3 for instance took place in one in game day, but took much longer in real life. Quests were time zones affect game play can take much longer than necessary, which throws off the one to one scale. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Plus some days in the quests are multiple real days. Quote
Scorpiox Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Ok, maybe game time is a bad idea, but we can still have birthdays! Quote
Bricksandparts Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Yes I agree, there can be Birth-days, just around a certain time. Quote
The Legonater Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 AJR7, Do you really think my Lord would be stupid enough to send you a letter that would have to bear his name and come with a PNG image of his face? That would totally ruin his dramatic reveal during the final wave at the end of the Quest. And that would make him MegaBlokin' mad, especially after all the Gold he spend for a world-famous composer to write up his personal score to be played during the dramatic revelation. Unnamed Brobric Elf #94 Somewhat Dearly Beloved Third-in-Command, Fan Mail Division This is one of the best thins I've seen in Heroica yet Quote
