K-Nut Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 The items and prices at the faction stores are subject to change. I don't think there needs to be a limit. If people want multiple Bright Polishes/Grating Stones, then that's fine. I don't think anyone needs multiples of the Zirconia or Cornucopia, for example. I'll most likely be joining Sungold myself, but I may want to see what the Wolfgang has to offer. Quote
Asphalt Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Will there be a way to join an alliance for those with no reputation? Or are we just observers for this one? Quote
K-Nut Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Will there be a way to join an alliance for those with no reputation? Or are we just observers for this one? I'm assuming once you pick up reputation you can. Quote
Zepher Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Yeah, I think they're a permanent fixture of the game. I wish there had been more of an inciting incident for them. But I guess it's just been the game so far. I do like that the Crescent Hill was partly formed because the Count felt left out. As for me, I'm Sungold baby! Boomingham will be running for King. Good luck, Guts! Though, yeah, no way these two sides end up equally balanced, and if I was ignoring RP I'd obviously pick Crescent... those upgrades are killer, and Sungold's got nada for me. Quote
Cutcobra Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Will there be a way to join an alliance for those with no reputation? Or are we just observers for this one? I believe you can join the Wolfgang even if you don't have any rep with them. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 (edited) Hoke has nothing BUT Crescent rep... Tritech Enhancement (A device that can be attached to any weapon inseparably. The enhanced weapon ignores defense and damages undead.) Costs 1000 gold. Does that mean it ignores SP & Row? Edit: NO IDEA why that quote keeps getting messed up!!! Scubacarrot Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Defense is another name for SP. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Defense is another name for SP. I realize that, but some weapon descriptions specifically state "Ignores SP". Quote
Dragonfire Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 You can now finally start choosing your side, as the topics for the Sungold Alliance and the Crescent Union are up. There will be a separate topic for the Wolf King's Followers, but since the aftermath of Quest#135 will greatly affect it, I can't post it up yet. It will also work somewhat differently from the other two, since obviously that faction already has a candidate for a king. Those joining that faction will also not lose any reputation among the other Houses. Can you join the Wolfgang faction if you have no reputation with them? Quote
Sandy Posted September 17, 2015 Author Posted September 17, 2015 I believe you can join the Wolfgang even if you don't have any rep with them. I didn't intend to allow that, but given the rarity of Wolfgang rep, I might just open the faction to everyone. Quote

Sandy Posted September 17, 2015 Author Posted September 17, 2015 I realize that, but some weapon descriptions specifically state "Ignores SP". That's because there's so many people making content for this game. I personally use SP only in the context of the defense value given by equiment. Quote
Zepher Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 It seems on message for them to open it up to everyone! Quote

Lind Whisperer Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Flipz, you're missing out on an epic battle! WP:150 Mythril Edge vs SP:150 Shadeaux Cloak! Hmmm, can you still have Shadeaux rep if you join the Sungold? If not, you'll just have to get your Bright Polishes from Matthias! Yeah, I get the feeling that Sungold got the Polishes(easily argued to be the more useful item) since they have the fewer members... Which makes sense, but the members that do join Sungold, are going to make a killing on those Polishes... Quote
Endgame Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Can you buy items and have them Z-Mailed to you, or do you have to be phyiscally there? Quote
swils Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 And the people that go on the Fields instead of quests get levels insanely fast (esp. with a MoG) compared to those on quests, while those on quests often get more unique and powerful loot. There's nothing to " " about, it's fine as it is. If you want to get rich off the polishes, join Sunwell. If you care more about the RP, join whichever you feels suits you best. Quote

Cutcobra Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 I'm probably going to join Sunwell because of RP reasons and not because of the polishes, F me right? Quote
Flipz Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Anyone interested in Bright Polish can contact Matthias; price is 500 gold or 2 grating stones; WTT 2x Bright Polish for 1x Tritech Enhancement. P.S. - Anyone else planning to go Sungold, I have no idea who to vote for (I'm obviously scum just protecting my scum buddies). P.P.S. - Sandy, super excited! Double markup only really works if you're an NPC; the most optimal strategy for all players overall are 1:1 swaps between Polish and Grating Stones, but if you really want to run a markup, I'd suggest "2 of my Bright Polish for 3 of your Grating Stones", or else just apply a direct 50 Gold convenience fee for each Bright Polish (so trading via Grating Stone would mean you'd get 1 Grating Stone + 50 gold for each Bright Polish). Yeah I feel like there should be a limit of 1 per hero on all items bought there. The items and prices at the faction stores are subject to change. Good to know. I didn't intend to allow that, but given the rarity of Wolfgang rep, I might just open the faction to everyone. Speaking of Wolfgang rep rarity, I have plans to offer it as a choice for rep in the not-too-distant future. Quote
K-Nut Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Can you buy items and have them Z-Mailed to you, or do you have to be phyiscally there? Sungold should be able to use Z-Mail. The sides going up against the Ziegfrieds though.... Quote

Pyrovisionary Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 A very interesting development to the Crescent union, well written Lind! Quote
Endgame Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Surprised Lind wasnt all "Have you heard of my lord and savior, Immortalis?" or "I elect the Dodekube!" Quote
