With the fairly recent buff (in terms of power) to raiders I don't think they lack in any particular aspect for what they are designed to do. If you think the Fields are boring, I think you should not do it, although I can see why you'd want to as there are so many rewards. :classic:

I'm debating whether or not I want to go into the Fields. On the one hand, a Quest that's nothing but mindless battle sounds like a good way to do SOMETHING other than sitting around the Hall. On the other, I don't want experience until I have my Shadeaux rep. Decisions, decisions... :sceptic:

I've had an idea to host one with Karie's adoptive father as the quest giver (who's a contractor for the Shadeux), if that would tickle your fancy. :wink:

Hmm, I just realized... Fighting in the fields for a raider isn't very effective. Shouldn't at least half of the enemies drop gold so that raiders can get some gain from the fields? After all, the fields is more of a resource quest than an RP quest.

No. I think this came up during the Rogue nerf discussion; the Fields are fine the way they are, because they were never intended for gold farming in the first place.

Magpie! :excited::moar:

Always makes me happy. :sweet:

...especially given they remain the only living group of NPCs Arthur hasn't managed to convince he's a monster at some point. :blush:

Hey, The Regret doesn't think you're a monster. :tongue:

Can't count people Arthur doesn't know. :laugh:

Best not inform them of your latest exploits then*.

* Or any older ones**.

** Except for Quests 17 and 31***.

*** Except for the part where you ate that guy.

They've met - Twice, actually! Telepathically - one was in an intelrude in 48, one was just a meta-example where we were testing Expert Classes.

I've not been as active as I once was here, trying to get back into the swing of things I noticed the Marauder class. Has a Magpie quest come up yet?

Nope. Should be the next one after Baltarok, barring any spur of the moment ideas like Quest 82. But I haven't planned it too much yet.

Considering that Masson is a fairly tall gentleman, I'm wondering how tall Karie's heels are beneath that dress- she is clearly towering over him at some points. :tongue:

Date Cutscenes done! I hope they weren't too dragged out, and somewhat informative. :classic:

Honestly, if it doesn't inform anyone of anything and exists only to move along or serve of a supplement to a single character's story, I find cutscenes in ever way pretty much self-indulgent. :def_shrug:

I see what you're getting at, but there was no way of getting out the info I needed in any other way, unless I asked someone to insert Maxwell and Amelia in a quest or had Endgame continue on in 86 with a sidequest with Karie and Masson on the date, which I feel as if would be self indulgent as well. :shrug_confused: I'll try to cut down on them though, and that's the last of the huge cutscenes. Thanks for the advice! :thumbup:

Why do you need to get out this info? :wacko: I don't know, I guess I just don't see the point of lining out your own character's story in such a way, or posting stuff in the Hall that doesn't affect anyone else but yourself. It's a place for roleplaying with other heroes, not yourself.

I actually disagree with Pie here (a exceedingly rare occurrence). Characters with backstories aren't the worse thing in the world, and placing it in the Hall doesn't interfere with anyone else's fun. If you were trying to wedge it into a quest, that could be rude, but in the Hall it can be read, or not read. I enjoyed them, Kintober.

It won't be up until 6, at the least. I've got exams, so I'm currently less in the know on this site than I usually am. :blush: I'll have it up as soon as I can. Sorry guys! We should be in the clear once the weekend rolls in! :classic:
