Sandy Posted October 19, 2013 Author Posted October 19, 2013 I'd suggest as well as rather than instead of. But having both the pictures and the text in the topic doesn't solve the loading issue, only makes it worse. Quote
CMP Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 I like the pictures more, personally. Text seems like it'd be too much of a mess to go through when looking something up. Quote
Flipz Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 I agree with Pie. Though I wouldn't be opposed to having two "pages" side-by-side if possible--it can get a bit annoying to scroll through everything at times, and text wouldn't help that one bit. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 I now have a 91mbps connection at the university I go to and a 28mbps connection whenever I go home, so the images don't bother me that much now. Before a couple months ago, though, when I had a pathetic 300kbps connection, there were quite a few times when I did wish that they were text instead of images. (I ended up opening the images in new tabs and bookmarking the Photobucket pages.) I think text-based would ultimately be the more versatile and flexible option of the two, if I had to pick one. JimBee Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 The pictures aren't much of an issue for me - is it a possibility that the pictures load faster if you've already loaded them before? I feel like that's the case. Quote

The pictures are posted like that already, two side-by-side. Maybe your screen resolution just isn't wide enough to fit them like that... Quote

Seriously, I am getting WAY too much flak for trying to use this overgrown toaster of a laptop for everything. >_< Quote

Palathadric Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Sorry. When I originally thought of posting rules as pictures rather than text, I didn't take into account that not everyone has a fast internet connection. We're pretty much pampered by fast connections in my country... Would people rather see the job classes posted as plain text? Too much joy would be lost in having the pictures removed. I will wait and then save the page tonight when I can load it all. I have it saved as an mhtml right now, but it still doesn't load well. It shouldn't be too much of a problem. I now have a 91mbps connection at the university I go to and a 28mbps connection whenever I go home, so the images don't bother me that much now. I rejoice when our connection runs at 20kbps. 10kbps is pretty usual, but sometimes it's far less. Quote

Scorpiox Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 My wireless connection here at home is 144 mbps... BT Infintity II here. That broadband's faster than my brain. In other news: Folks on Quest #80, I apologise if I am inactive tomorrow - it's my birthday in fifty five minutes! Quote
Myrddyn Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 (edited) Are you two running dial-up? My sympathies. EDIT: Happy Birthday, Scorpiox! Edited October 19, 2013 by Myrddyn Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 I rejoice when our connection runs at 20kbps. 10kbps is pretty usual, but sometimes it's far less. Sorry. Although to be fair, AT&T advertised speeds of around 5 mbps, so I had reason to find 300 kbps speeds to be pathetic. That's only 6% of the advertised speed! Although to be fair, AT&T advertised speeds of around 5 mbps, so I had reason to find 300 kbps speeds to be pathetic. That's only 6% of the advertised speed! I think mine advertised 1 mbps, but we all knew that if we got 10kbps we were lucky. Yeah, the infrastructure is not setup well for all of those things here, but we make do with what we have. Quote

Palathadric Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 (edited) >Heckz vs. Quinn- Crit. (9x2+15x2=48 Damage, Knock Out) Avalanche vs. Cheech- Crit. (3x2+1=7 damage) The elemental multiplier for Heckz attack should have been multiplied after his level was added. Hence, he should have done 66 damage. Never mind, I see the harlot lost more than 48 health.. Also, Avalanche, should deal Extra Critical Hits, thus dealing 10 damage. Edited October 20, 2013 by Palathadric Quote
