andybear@hk Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 This building had finish the outlook in January, 2011. And this buildings had shown in Brick Adventure 2011 January, and the City Plaza LEGO show in Easter Holiday. Until now, just have time to finish the indoor and share with yours. :) This building is totally match with my friend, Jaredchan 's famous brand shop. GODIVA is one of the famous chocolate brand in the world. With their cafe, is a perfect match of this creation. This work follows the Godiva brand common colors, black, gold, brown, dark tan .. filled with noble feeling, but also on the architectural appearance of the carved areas with a lot of prominent European style, extensive use of Black-colored glass pieces is interesting place ... The middle one is GODIVA chocolate cafe, Left hand side is creation of 2008, LV corner. Right hand side is City hall of Venice  of 2009. GODIVA Chocolate Cafe The seat at outside.. The counter of take away.. The entry, with automatic door The ground floor The kitchen area, Chef is making chocolate cake, also, there is a chocolate drink machine. The sales department, with the refrigerator, there is chocolate and chocolate cake inside... Upstairs have many seat. There is three big window can view the street. Modular design Thanks for your watching and comments Quote
Big Cam Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Wow, What a winner! I love the technique you used for the railing up the stairs, and the exterior looks fantastic. Quote
blueandwhite Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Amazing work is par for the course from you Andy! Seriously, the texture in this MOC is unbelievable. The extensive use of goblets to create the facade of the cafe is probably one of the more original part usages I've seen in a long time. The best part is that it's unbelievable straightforward. Seeing the textured 1x2 bricks that are hidden behind the goblets only enhances the effect. This MOC is simply too cool for any additional words (from me at least). Kudos, and keep putting the rest of us to shame ! We love every moment of it. Quote
drevim Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 (edited) Truly a beautiful building!! Inside and out, just great detail work. As mentioned above, the goblets are a brilliant architectural touch. My only criticism is the flower colors, for me, it's a bit of a visual distraction. Strictly a personal thing, but overall a great building, in a row of great houses!! sonicstarlight Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Wow, this certainly is ornate! The color scheme is great - I personally think black doesn't get used nearly enough in modulars on the whole. The detailing might border on being over the top, but the relatively simple structure of the building makes it so it isn't overwhelming. I'm not into the Castle sets mush so I don't know the answer, but are there shields with horses on them? It might be more in keeping with the Godiva brand over the dragons. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that even if there are, there won't be any with naked women riding them, though. Quote
streifen Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 i am just intrigued by the facade! the micro details you have put in is indeed amazing once again! Quote

In This building , I have boldly try to use the goblets and grey ricks behind, really happy that giving you surprise :) Truly a beautiful building!! Inside and out, just great detail work. As mentioned above, the goblets are a brilliant architectural touch. My only criticism is the flower colors, for me, it's a bit of a visual distraction. Strictly a personal thing, but overall a great building, in a row of great houses!! Mr ere I'm, thanks for your kind comment, maybe the flowers have a bit of visual distraction. The starting point for use the dark pink flowers because I want use some sharp color such as dark pink to balance the color of the building. Wow, this certainly is ornate! The color scheme is great - I personally think black doesn't get used nearly enough in modulars on the whole. The detailing might border on being over the top, but the relatively simple structure of the building makes it so it isn't overwhelming. Mr sonic starlight, thanks for your kind comments.Black modular buildings is really hard to build. I had try to brick woman riding a horse on the roof top.
