K-Nut Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 I recently got all the heroes of Hero Factory 3.0 and on some of them their heads squeak like crazy! I've never had this happen before. I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem and/or if they know how to fix it? Quote
K-Nut Posted August 12, 2011 Author Posted August 12, 2011 Would that damage the plastic? If it would damage the plastic I'd prefer the squeaking. Quote
toatyger Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 I wouldn't think so, but i'm not 100% sure. If nothing else, try playing with them awhile, that might loosen up the joints enough to stop sqeaking. Quote

Yeah, the squeaking did get a little bit better, then I removed some of their limbs and the squeaking got really bad again. The joints probably need to settle for a while. I might buy another one to test the cooking spray. If I do that I'll post the results here. Thanks a lot for the help. Quote
The Mugbearer Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 (edited) It is nothing bad about squeaking joints. Just re-compose them with sockets few times, try re-attaching them from place to place. They will come better - I can guarantee it. Edited August 13, 2011 by -N13OS- Quote
Front Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I would suggest not spraying anything on your HERO FACTORY parts. If you think the joints squeak, you could try wiping the parts with a cloth, at the contact points. Or even better, not worry about it. Front aka Erland, Part Design Quote
MoralWarfare Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Look on the bright side. Squeaky joints = tight joints Quote

Front aka Erland, Part Design I've tried WD40 (I think that's what it's called) and that worked for about 5 Min. Look on the bright side. Squeaky joints = tight joints True. Quote

M-B-W Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Not always, I have an Inika Nuparu that still squeaks after five years. Wow, that's LONG. I never had a BIONICLE set that was intact after 3 months! Quote

It's really nothing, my oldest unaltered character is a dog I made in 2002. Originally my oldest was a 2001 Matoran with a translucent blue noble mask of night vision, but I had a dog who likes plastic... Quote

Tanma Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Oh... I feel for the Matoran. May he rest in peace. My dog liked to eat the Bohrok Krana :( He isn't quite dead yet, I rebuilt his destroyed arm and legs using a Vahki waist, silver Bohrok feet, and a Barraki jaw, the latter acting as his right arm. So he still exists as a Cyborg, but since I altered his parts he typically was created in 2009, not 2001. Quote
