ghostmind Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 Cole Kai Jay Zane These are the ones, though you can also get Jay's hair from the "Mutt" minifig in the Indiana Jones sets. The "sleepyhead" minifig looks to be the best current match for Kai - thanks for the suggestion! Quote

As far as I can tell, Jay's hair is actually dark orange; and that's lucky, because it exists in that color in far more sets than the reddish-brown hair you pictured. Zane's hair is somewhat rare in tan, so I hope to get one from bricklink at some point in the future (I could potentially get the whole set it came in, seeing as it's a small and fairly cheap set). From looking at the episodes, I'd actually have to say that the reddish-brown hair IS the right color--neither dark orange nor the dark brown seem to match properly. The dark brown looks better on the minifig as a placeholder, though. Quote
Piranha Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 who is the green ninja? does this mean we get the ninja wrap in green again? That would be awesome because those were only featured in one set and last time I checked were over $20 each on BL. Quote

Play With Fire Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 (edited) Finalized textures for Ninjago armor. Probably went along with the unique shoulder and head armor in the other picture. The first picture I posted had the name "NewLevel3 Armor ColorChanges." This picture says that these textures are for "Level 3" (normally Rank 3, a term reserved for the highest tier of faction-based specialty kits in LU). So they are likely linked, with the first picture being an early concept. Edited January 20, 2012 by Play With Fire Quote

Aanchir Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Those LEGO Universe concepts are awesome! Somehow, they seem even zanier than the actual Ninjago theme-- but then again, I guess LEGO Universe, with its amorphous mixing of traditional LEGO themes into new and imaginative ideas, is almost zanier by default! Its a shame LEGO Universe proved unsuccessful, as this shows that it continued to have a lot of potential. Hopefully TLG will sometime find another more successful outlet for those same sorts of ideas. I'm not sure how well these particular armor concepts would work in the actual Ninjago theme, but that doesn't make them any less brilliant. Quote

Yes, the connections of the shoulderpads on the armor do look as if they would be very fragile if they were made in real life. Still, one can hope. Quote
Captain Potato Salad Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Wait, why is Jay called the Air Ninja? Do you think he has two elements now? I also wonder if Lloyd will have an element too, if so it'll probably be water. Quote

I also wonder if Lloyd will have an element too, if so it'll probably be water. I've a feeling that Jay's decal being labelled "Air Ninja" probably just has to do with the decal artists not giving a crap about the Ninjago story. But that's just me. Anyone want me to post LEGO Universe Ninjago Skeleton enemy concept art? I'm worried the pictures might be too big, but I could just link to them on the LEGO Universe Wikia, which is where I found all of these things. No idea where they find all this treasure, but it's really amazing. I always look at the "recent pictures" section to see if there's any new concept art. Quote
