My Emerald night engine seems to bind and does not run well. Is there someway to get it working better.

My emerald night engine does not work well. It is hard to get it started and it seems to bind.

Does anyone have any ideas about how to get it working better.

There's a number of topics related to issues and improvements for the Emerald Night here in Train Tech. I would recommend you take a look at the Index to see just a few. Here's one of many that provides a solution if you did not use the recommended 12:00 / 3:00 wheel alignment per the instructions. It solved a lot of my problems with sputtering and locking.
