vkyopwnsall posted a Flickr photoset of his MCB [Micro Cargo Biped] -- "the smallest walking Power Functions biped possible. It does not turn, but it still walks! Powered by an M-Motor." The battery box is attached via a tether. There are six photos on that photoset, and here is one image showing the walking mechanism:
