The Cobra Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 For those who don't know about bricktober magnets: please see here. While searching for more info about series 6, i found this: Will some people in the world be lucky again this year to get one of these astonishing figs for free when bying a few bucks of Lego? (Yes, it's yet another coplaint from a lesser - and much less fortunate - Lego market). Source: here Quote
J_Bro83 Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Wow, hope this is legit. I thought we were lucky to get a retro black falcon and imperial guardsman last year...if this is for real, I'm going to have to chase after all of these. Quote

Mr. Elijah Timms Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 EXCELLENT!! All over that forestman!!! Nice find, Cobra! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Nice. I usually don't attend Bricktober, but this could convince me. If these do get released I just hope they are not glued seeing that they are a magnet set and supposedly all the newer magent sets were supposed to be glued...... If they are glued, you can remove them with the warm water method. Quote
Big Cam Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Looks legit to me, the packaging with natural light reflection would be awfully hard to fake. Quote
Zeya Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 (edited) Looks legit to me too. Look at that fold on the bottom-right. Someone in the retail chain must have gotten their dirty little mitts on this early. Question: were the 2010 bricktober magnets glued? I'm interested in the forestman for nostalgic purposes and for the torso. P.S. 1999 being referred to as "retro" makes me feel old. Edited August 4, 2011 by Zeya Quote
Donut Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Doesn't look fake to me, as these figures were already released through the vintage collection. I am hoping the ninja is green, but that's probably wishful thinking. Quote
Pingles Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 (edited) For those who don't know about bricktober magnets: please see here. For those who had no idea what Bricktober was: Brickipedia Bricktober. EDIT: Worded it better Edited August 4, 2011 by Pingles Quote
Hartfan Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Good news :D I wanna get few forestman. Thanks for sharing. Quote
Hartfan Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Just found this in new lego club magazine. I hope Toys r us is not going to make us spend lots of money to get those minifigs. Btw. last year minifigs during this event were glued ? Quote
The Blue Brick Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 I'm all over week 1, 2, and 3. I'm going to try and get as many as possible. Quote
autobrick Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 I hope Toys r us is not going to make us spend lots of money to get those minifigs. Btw. last year minifigs during this event were glued ? Thanks for the pic, they look great! Last year, the magnets were not glued and you had to spend $25 if you lived in the US or $35 if you lived in Canada. I really hope they are not glued this year, but who knows? Quote
Bearded Castle Guy Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Thanks for the pic, they look great! Last year, the magnets were not glued and you had to spend $25 if you lived in the US or $35 if you lived in Canada. I really hope they are not glued this year, but who knows? Confirmation! Excellent! TY Hartfan for sharing that (my LEGO magazines tend to ship later than most for some reason). I can only hope the local TRU reopens before Bricktober happens, I expect it to but who knows (it's converting to a TRU/Babies R US by absorbing the next store space over on one side). Want week 2 and week 3 ones for sure, maybe week 4 if I haven't blown my budget by then... Quote
WhiteFang Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 I really hope they are not glued this year, but who knows? I hope they are not glued too. Those are some very lovely minifigures down there. Quote
Oky Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 I'm pretty sure they're not glued as they're not pre-assembled. At least last year's weren't. Quote
Titan Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Just a bit disappointed that the figures felt a bit cheaply made, at least the ones from last year's. Quote
Big Cam Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 I'm going to finally pay attention and get a full set. I also saw this in the LEGO club magazine, it was the only useful bit of information in there. Quote
