Captain BeerBeard Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 (edited) This a quick moc I did of an old vagabond walking through a bamboo forest with his rooster. He gets ambushed by a group of ninjas trying to rob him. I hope you all enjoy this. Comments and criticism are welcome. Here are some action shots. Thank God no blood got on his fish. Gilles Gaer Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Very nice moc-ing, I like your bamboo forest. Not a fan of the blood, though, I'd try some lego blood gg Quote

Ecclesiastes Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Do not tocuh my fish! I'm hungry! nice moc! Quote
Vindicare Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 The blood ruined it for me... Gotta get creative like many have done. Use red feathers, trans clear pieces, anything red. It just looks odd with the cartoony blood. The MOC is pretty neat though, nice little scene. Quote

I'm glad you like my scene. Quote
Hoboman Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 The blood ruined it for me.... I have to agree. I love the whole MOC build. Nice set up and action. Bu the cartoon feel took away from it's greatness in my opinion. Anime or not, it did not work for me. But the real focus is that the Lego build was well done and I would say it was something to be proud of. Quote
LandShark Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 That's a nice looking little MOC, 'BeerBeard. I like the use of the Toy Story Army men bases as bases for the trees, and the Pirates of the Caribbean sword holster. The details like the frog and snake are good too. Are you planing to to more MOCs in this style? Quote
Rolltron Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Beerbeard is be my big bro so I can call him a turd if I want. I like the cartoon blood. The bloody pics are a bonus. Please dont be offended. Quote

Please dont be offended. It's true. We have the same parents. We might be combining forces soon. When we reunite, we will be taking over. Rolltron is a master of moc. Quote

Rolltron said it best"The bloody pics are just a bonus.". Thank you Hoboman, for the kind words. I am proud of it. I am also proud to be a part of EB with all of you. serge627 Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 Haha, this is great! I love the detail even in such a small moc. That one has to be the best, I love the look of suprise on the old man as the guys come out of nowhere, I especially like the one in the water! Quote
Capt. Bluebeard Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 (edited) Nice! I love the way the ninja is partially hidden in the bamboo, in particular. One small criticism, however; the vagabond looks far too jolly. May I suggest a more serious face such as this? Bluebeard, out- Edited August 6, 2011 by Capt. Bluebeard Quote
TheLegoDr Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 I really like the landscaping. It looks like an actual pathway through trees. And I like the added story feature with the experienced gentleman and his proficiency in the art of the sword. Quote

One small criticism, however; the vagabond looks far too jolly. May I suggest a more serious face such as this? Bluebeard, out- That is a really nice head for a vagabond. Thank you for the link to it. I was originally going to use the head from the black Ninjago ninja because he had a mean look. I switched his head and legs last minute. I have a few ideas brewing for this old vagabond. He will be coming back with a vengence! Quote
Captain BeerBeard Posted August 19, 2011 Author Posted August 19, 2011 I have a question for a moderator. Why can't I edit my title? I know in the classic pirates forum I saw a topic title change before. So why can't I do this? Is this something only a moderator can do? I want to change my title for this. Quote
smitty9999 Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 I think the blood is great. It really gives it that anime feel. Quote
Captain Roger Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Great MOC mate, i really love it. I like seeing the ninjas using different weapons each one. Keep up the good work Quote
