You aren't able to choose a picture from the photos app but you can still switch your avatar with a URL. This can be done by holding down the picture and press "copy". This will copy the URL for the picture and you paste it in to the off-site URL text box. Hope this helps :classic:

I browse this site with an iPad, and I'm curious to know how or if there's a way to put pics in my profile and as an avatar? Help.

I am going to guess you did not search first or you would have found these two threads, which are in this forum and only about 10 threads down.

Changing your avatar on an ipod touch

Which was then immediately followed with this thread, How to upload from flickr to Eurobricks

These threads together answer your question, and since the answer is, "you can't do it", they also offer an alternative.

Please do search in the future.

I saw the iPod Touch thread, but I'm not sure if it and the iPad are the same in those regards. I don't have a flickr, I just meant from the saved pictures I have. But, you are correct to assume I didn't search prior to, my mistake.

The ipad and ipod touch use the same operating system so they suffer the same fate.

From a direct upload perspective, you simply can't do it. Spoke doesn't allow it.

The only other option is to have your image hosted somewhere else such as flickr, or brickshelf, or any other photo hosting website, then you can use the URL of the picture and use the URL picker option instead of uploading the physical image.
