Hay all, I hope this is the right place to put this. This is my first WIP MOC of the Queen Alien. My son wanted me to build a queeen alien for his short Lego movie he wants to make. I want to replace all coloured elements to black when Im pritty happy (MOCers are never happy with their final product)with the build. Its somtimes hard when you have limited elements buts the fun in trying to build models that look accurite. Any comments are welcome.

Try this. Im having problem deeplinking my pics from flicker. When I add the image from fliker i get this error message: You are not allowed to use that image extention on this board. Can anyone tell me how to do this? I followed the deeplinking tutorial but it wont work, what am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Here is the brickself pics.

This should work now :sweet:

I have already changed and added few parts like a black hose around rear of body, minifig hands on a bar for the backbone and found some slopes with no stickers. I will update with new pics when I get the chance.

Woah, big pics! They need to be resized to 800x600 or smaller.

Read about deeplinking from flickr here. Also, I think your flickr photos are marked as private, because your photostream has nothing available to me.

That said, the MOC:

Nice work for your first. It's a nice fusion of Bionicle and System. If this is from a movie, as I assume it is, I'm not familiar with it, but my suggestions would be to replace the dk. grey pieces with black, and devise a brick-built solution for those prefab dinosaur limbs. They don't fit in with the style of the rest of the model. (too smooth, curved, and <insert that tiresome argument>)

My Filcker account is only a free account so thats why I people cant view them. I will just use brickshelf in the futrue untill I have more pics to view on Flicker and get a full account.

No, I haven't. Is it this one? If so, I might check it out. Sounds good.

Lots of builders (myself included) don't have a pro account, and everyone can see our pics. (unless we mark them as private)

Yeah thats the one, you should check the movies out. BTW the second movie (Aliens) is by far the best of the four movies. They have a few pritty cool looking vehicles to MOC as well. Then if you enjoy them you can move into the AVP (Alien vs Predator) series. You must have seen one the best Arnold Schwarzenegger moves Predator?...Anyway

I checked my Flicker account and it is set to let everyone see my pics. I will have to go over my account again and check it out. Thats good as I dindt want to fork out the $24.95 for the the year.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Not sure what's going on with your flickr - I still can't see anything. Maybe someone who uses it more often can help.

I have just emialed the help on flicker. This is what my privacy settings are saying at the top: Who can access your original image files? No one (because you have a free account). I check the setting to anyone (recommended) but it dont work

Go to your photostream's main page, and under the description of each photo there should be a green, yellow, or red square - green for anyone can see the photo, yellow for only your contacts or friends can see the photo, and red for only you can see the photo. If it's yellow or red, click the (edit) link next to that to change the privacy settings of the photo.

Yeah Doc they are green, life is just hating me at the moment. I might have to cancel my account and start again if the help desk cant help me. Thanks for your time and effort.

I got a reply from the help desk and they said check my photos privacy and safty settings, but they are checked able to be viewed by all and they are safe. I might need to start a new account.
