MOC - Microscale Imperial Base

This is my first ever MOC, so please be gentle. One day I got a bit bored, so I decided to combine the sets of Echo Base and the Snowtrooper/Hoth Rebel Trooper battle packs. My goal? To use every piece and create at least an amusing building. I'm curious to hear what you think. Remember. This is my first MOC. I really have no idea what I'm doing.

It's not any specific scene from the movies, but I thought of it as an imperial base on a snowy planet. I didn't exactly plan much in advance, as is evident in the structure, but I'm interested in hearing your comments.

Well, for your first moc, this is pretty cool! I like all the structures you've built. The tower/cannon is well done and is obviously the focal point. My advice would be to try to build recognizeable structures for the side buildings like walls, windows, etc rather than just piling on pieces, which look cool, but don't look like people inhabit them. Also, maybe add some micro-scale figs (which would be like 2 rounded plates). Hope that helps and can't wait to see what you build next!

Thanks. :) I'm glad you like it. As I said in my first post, I didn't plan much ahead and my goal was to use EVERYTHING. I wish those sets had included more pieces to make the place look inhabited, (clear bricks for use as windows and the like), though I think this MOCs biggest downfall is the sheer fact that I did not plan. I guess an interpretation is an abandoned imperial base. :P Maybe that'll work.

I definitely will add some micro-scale figures. I never even thought about adding them. Unless I'm keeping it abandoned... I dunno. I might try redesigning it around your comments.
