r74 Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Feeling a bit artistic the other day so grabbed one my lads troopers and got some enamel model paint from local hobby shop to have a go at customising one. Got various matt camo colours but am unsure as to what will make it longer lasting. I washed scrubbed figure to remove shine and protective layer, rubbed with wire wool to give better surface and then applied to base coats and then few coats differant colours to give camo effect, came out well but need to apply some protective varnish but one i got isn't matt varnish so gooing to wait till go to differant hobby shop. Has anyone had any experience with customising mini figs and to what procedure and paints work best. Cheers in advance. Quote
Raider Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Dont use Paint Use water side decals. their is a site called fine clonier Decals. there you can get heaps of clone trooper designs www.fineclonier.com and as a recall use nail polish clear. (NOTE cant remember what to use to make a coat but nail polish does work) Quote
