Zane Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Or, maybe these pictures might've been taken a few years ago, so that's why he doesn't have them? I see the Exo-Force pilots in there... I'm not saying the collection is lame because a few figures are missing, I'm just saying he shouldn't make claims that he owns them all when he doesn't. -Tilius- Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 But when new sets are coming out all the time, and at varying times across the world, it can be hard to obtain the very latest figs. Perhaps he made this claim when he WAS in possesion of all the figs, before the newer ones had come out yet. But I digress... Amazing collection though. Quote

Unknown Artist Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 and he claims he is the only man who can do that. Oh, I am sure that he claims to be the only person who 'did' it - there's a difference. ;) Wow! That's awesome! It is possible to get every fig TLC ever produced for anyone who's willing to spend enough time and money on it - most minifigs were produced in mass quantities. Oh, I guess it's good that I don't own that collection - too many torsos would get replaced by decals - the purists would certainly be against me 'ruining' it... :D Quote
oo7 Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 What set is this from? It's called "Danju, special" EDIT: On the bricklink entry for the chin guard helmet there is price guide info for red and purple but it only appears in sets as black and gray, but they have pictures of the it in red and purple if you click "show available images". *wacko* Quote
Starwars4J Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 OMG, what set is this from? They're pretty cool ;-) Quote
ghoulrealm Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 told you, he is telling fibs. i mean , lego started producing figs so long ago, just how could anyone on the planet have all of them. no way. Gee, thanks for making me feel old as dirt since LEGO only started making Minifigs within my lifetime :-P and with sites like ebay and Bricklink it's totally possible ;-) I'm the same age as Deinonychus (unless he's over 65 million years old :-D ), and I easily have about half of all different types of minifigs without even trying to collect them! His accomplishment is definately noteworthy, but far from impossible. Quote

If you look back far enough there was a topic on this in the castle section. I just got mine from BL ;-) I hope this answers your question Quote
oo7 Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Ok, thanks, I wonder what this guy was for with this 90s lego head. Nor Bricklink, Brickset or Peeron have it. Wonder why they didn't use these helmets in the normal KK2 sets. EDIT: I found the thread in the history forum, and you were the one who started it. You say in the last post that it was part of a display at Legoland, if this is true then why are they being sold? The CC thread said I know for sure there are red, green and violet figs similar to the already known Vladek and Jayko polybags (5998 & 5999) in TLC's pipeline. The Vladek and Jayko polybags are not Vladek and Jayko but the two different chess pauns from the KK2 chess set, so I'm all confused! *wacko* Quote
ImperialDawg Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 well, his collection of minifigs is surely near complete, all the minifigs he categoriezed in his site are his own collection, and he said he is missing a few figs, maybe 5 or so. Maybe there are a few peoples have collection like that, but not as complete i guess. To collect all the minifgs is not really that impossible, but to collect all the sets is far more unachievable. Lastly, his site is in Chinese language, not Japanese, and this man is a collector from Hong Kong, hence the chinse site. http://www.legofigs.com/webpage/fameset_e.htm You all can have a look in the forum and read some thread created by some of the members, they have some insane collection of minifigs... http://www.minifigs.net/forum/viewthread.p...&extra=page%3D6 http://www.legofigs.com/forum/viewthread.p...&extra=page%3D3 Quote
Martin255 Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Well Im sure he just won the lottery (lucky devel) and got them all (Even luckyer devil)...But I know 1 who certanly has them all!The owner of TLC! *sweet* *dreams on* Quote

gylman Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Mainland china = 1 billion people. They can't all be poor. Someone has to be exploiting the poor. If only 1 in 100 is rich or middle class, that makes 10 million Same as the whole population of Belgium. And, by the way, this collector I believe is from HK. HK, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea have a per capita GDP at purchasing power parity not much different than that of any European country. Japan and HK in fact do better than Germany, Sweden, or France (essentially the same, though, just a few percent different). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_count...PPP)_per_capita Quote
