Well my husband noticed he had a few yellow 2 x 4 bricks so he decided to see if he could build a big yellow castle out of them, here he is working on it.

*oh2* That's a lot of yellow! Looking forward to more updates. If I may suggest one thing, I think it has a bit of BYW Syndrome.

BYW syndrome ?

he also says he'll add some color towards the top too.

Well this is what he has done for now since he still needs parts he does not have so hes going to have to wait till pay day or some of our stuff sells before he can order the parts he still needs, but you can see how much is done here:

Wow! This is one HUGE castle! I like the measures -- from the many baseplates to the walls and stairs.

Please keep the pics coming!

Will this castle be functional? It looks huge!

Functional ?

not sure what you mean by that, he will be putting buildings inside and building a stables and farm outside of it, and building some scenery, hes not sure yet how high he'll place the castle above plains level or such yet.

well hes got some more of it done, hes just now waiting on another order to finish the towers up and then the wall will be done, but he is curious if people think he should do one of the following:

(ignore the red tiles on the towers)

leave just the red tiles on the wall caps

put red tiles between the wall caps also

remove the red tiles from the wall caps.

So it looks like the walls are mostly done, now on to what is going inside the walls. :classic:

Can't wait to see what you have in store for the buildings inside.

Well while my husband is still waiting for his order to complete his towers he did work on a couple of barracks for the troops to sleep in:

Leave the red tiles on the wall caps. They make the shape of the castle pop out in the photos.

Edit:Oops! Sorry I messed up the quote box.

I meant as in to scale for minifig use.

Very much so in fact if you look at some of the pics he put a minifig on one of the walls to give an idea of size if the 4x4 square of 32x32 baseplates doesn't help.

he said this will one of his med. size outpost forts.

Well he got the parts for his towers, now he only needs to figure out what to do for the headquarters then work on the outside terrain of the fort:
