jasonsmith Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Okay folks I need your help. You may know that I have been building Hans ship and have noticed something strange... The pdf instructions show this piece being used, 41 of them... http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=75535 Technic, Pin Connector Round (Pin Joiner Round)75535 BUT.... In photos of many peoples Falcons with instructions and actual decals and COA's I'm seeing this piece in use... http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=62462 Technic, Pin Connector Round with Slot (Pin Joiner Round)62462 Can anyone confirm this? Possibly the first run set had the non slot piece and the 2nd run had the slot... Quote
AndyC Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Can anyone confirm this? Possibly the first run set had the non slot piece and the 2nd run had the slot... All of mine are of the slotted kind. I got my falcon towards the end of it's shelf life so I don't know if earlier versions differed at all. Quote

Maybe we can check the inventory page on the printed manuals. Quote
AndyC Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 It doesn't look like the slotted version in the manual, now you mention it. And has the Element ID 4212355, which Bricklink maps onto the unslotted version. Maybe TLG considered the change too minor to be worth redoing the manual? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Maybe TLG considered the change too minor to be worth redoing the manual? Probably. 6212 has a few elements that appear as older versions in the manual. Quote
gratefulnat Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Maybe TLG considered the change too minor to be worth redoing the manual? Just as Brickdoctor I'd agree with this. I ordered my set in February of 2007 (this is the only set I'm aware of that was able to be preordered over S@H six/seven months in advance - number 7777 by the way), and all Pin Connector Round pieces that came with my set were with the slot, even though in the instructions inventory it is depicted as without the slot. @jasonsmith: I'd say you'll be allright going for those with the slot - but who knows - maybe there were some without. I really wouldn't worry about it. Quote

I really wouldn't worry about it. I ordered them, if they even existed on one official set then that's good enough for me. Quote
