frogstudio Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Hi to all!!!! I've been organizing my collection during the weekend and decided to grab the chance and picture all my MOCS (some are several years old). I'll be posting them during this week, so, if you're interested in this one, check them out... :) Amongst my MOCS is this medieval water mill. The mill is motorized with Power Functions elements. Hope you like it. Comments are welcomed...Cheers!!! And a short video of it working… :) Quote
slovakiasteph Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 I like this best of all your creations... the waterfall is pretty cool! (although I did like the fisherman's shack as well)... Quote
lefty Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Looks really good! I like the little waterfalls... wouldn't the wheel spin the other way? Quote
frogstudio Posted July 25, 2011 Author Posted July 25, 2011 Looks really good! I like the little waterfalls... wouldn't the wheel spin the other way? You're right!!! I didn't check before filming in which direction I had switched the PF bateery box!!!! :) Quote
Dark_Alamez Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 wouldn't the wheel spin the other way? And not so fast The waterfall is nice. Quote
frogstudio Posted July 25, 2011 Author Posted July 25, 2011 And not so fast The waterfall is nice. I completely agree... but the truth, I don't really have mayt technic gears and I really suck when it coms to working with Technic parts!!! I guess I should order some from Bricklink and start experimenting... :) Quote

Or you could use the Rechargable battery box, since that has a speed controller on it too (although it's not cheap). Nice MOC though. Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Gee, 'frogstudio' you have being posting stacks today and like wow, AWESOME working MOC....excellent structure and wonderful flowing stream ! More, again 'frogstudio' and Brick On ! Quote
buddy Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Excellent MOC! I particularly like the way you have done the waterfalls and the trees and greenery, it gives the MOC a more natural feeling. But most of all, I like that you have made the water wheel turn by using Power Functions. Extremely well done. ~buddy~ Quote
LandShark Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Another excellent medieval MOC, frogstudio! I just wish I had things like this in my kingdom. I like all the little details like the frog and the mushrooms. And the minifigures fit the scene well. Quote
Hoboman Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 That is cool you made it spin. This is a cute MOC. Well Done. Quote
frogstudio Posted July 25, 2011 Author Posted July 25, 2011 Thanks to all for your comments. About the turning speed, I hadn't thought of using an IR receiver and the train remote control. That's a good idea... I've also got to do something about it being so noisy, which I personally hate. Many thanks again to all... Quote
L-space Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Great work frogstudio. I really like the whole idea you built. Love your willow tree. Quote
Masked Builder Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Very stunning! The spinning feature is great! Quote
Horry Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Well, you also could slow down the speed by transmitting the movement through some bigger cogs. Plus, but this could be a little bit of work, you could try to include a water-pouring effect with small blue studs being conveyed back like in the Maerks Hotties MOC by ISC. But this would mean major work and... Your MOC is already awesome and has many details! Quote
TheLegoDr Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 That looks really neat. I like the idea of the large waterfall (nice creation btw) and the wheel as opposed to just along a stream. Beautiful work. Quote

The blades of the wheel are open, andstud would clog it and prevent it from spinning.... but I must say you got me thinking how it could be done... :) Quote
