The_Chosen_1 Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I'm loving the lava detail on the Mustafar platform and mining droid. That set is a winner in my book! Quote
Huntleyfx Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Well, the droid close up just sold me on the X-Wing. Quote
legobobsse Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 wow normaly i dont buy the 'smal' sets because im more a fan of the ucs series, and i have the older jedi starfighter. but seeing this pics I cannot miss this new one. the figs are so detailed, allthough i like the yellowskined more Quote
Lyichir Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Oh, yeah, that makes sense. I forgot about the printing. Not just the printing. One of the things that makes minifigs so expensive to produce is that the torsos and legs are preassembled from multiple parts, as opposed to most standard bricks, which are simply injection-molded and put into sets as is. Darth Nihilus Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Those figs look awesome! I couldn't have been wiser to pass on a (good) offer that I got for the #6212 . I'm loving the lava detail on the Mustafar platform and mining droid. That set is a winner in my book! Yeah, this set really is a winner, 'specially if it's only $30 as rumoured. Well, the droid close up just sold me on the X-Wing. Glad you liked it! There's also a close-up of Luke on there, but since it's just the same Luke from the AT-AT, I didn't post it. wow normaly i dont buy the 'smal' sets because im more a fan of the ucs series, and i have the older jedi starfighter. but seeing this pics I cannot miss this new one. the figs are so detailed, allthough i like the yellowskined more Don't be ashamed, a lot of people like the yellow skin better. Fallenangel Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Looking at the Elite clone in the battle pack, I'm wondering if anyone else is seeing the possibility of a Bacara minifigure anytime in the future. Quote
Brickadeer Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Looking at the Elite clone in the battle pack, I'm wondering if anyone else is seeing the possibility of a Bacara minifigure anytime in the future. Well, I still wonder why Lego has not yet published *any* clone commander from the PT. Quote
The Legonater Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Oh, as I can see it, they are brown. It just seems to be a bit darker than the brown on this picture. It seems to me that they're the same black-tinted-brown we suspected at the beginning. At least I hope so... Quote
Lyichir Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 It seems to me that they're the same black-tinted-brown we suspected at the beginning. At least I hope so... No, it looks to me to just be Dark Brown. Quote
legolandia Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 (edited) No, it looks to me to just be Dark Brown. They are actually chocolate brown. To be more precise dark Ecuadorian 80% pure ground beans. Edited December 15, 2011 by legolandia Quote
wokajablocka Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 No, it looks to me to just be Dark Brown. Thats a shame if they are inded dark brown as they look. I was hoping to the black or dark metalic grey like the current supper battle droids. Quote
Lord Of The Fries Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 I really like that new Porkins figure! And did anyone notice that the eyes of the Mustafar Mining Droid are Transparent Pink? If so then I think I will place a BL order on those Quote

Kaitan Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Hadn't realised obi's face will be double sided too! Still hate his hair though, it looks too much like a bad comb over... Kaitan Quote
Delta 38 Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 The Interceptor looks great, though the wings look a little out of place. R2-D2 looks a little pale. New Gunray is nice, even though he's kind of an odd addition (as well as the Battle Droid) because there's no scenery for him. Quote
Lord Of The Fries Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 (edited) Here's the Geonosian picture grogall posted but with Gree and Barriss as well: Edited December 16, 2011 by Lord Of The Fries Quote

Well, he was killed by Ani a few minutes before the duel, so you could use Ani with double sided head, Gunray and an imginary CIS commando station to recreate that Quote
382nd Legionnaire Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 I'm glad the ugly Clone Wars heads are slowly dying away. I wonder if we might get a Phase II Clone trooper battle pack in the near future. Quote
Fallenangel Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Is that a clone face or just some random guy? Probably this guy or his captain. Quote
Lyichir Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 I'm glad the ugly Clone Wars heads are slowly dying away. I wonder if we might get a Phase II Clone trooper battle pack in the near future. What do you mean, dying away? The Clone Wars heads are still being used for the Clone Wars sets, just as they always have been. We're still not seeing scenes from the Clone Wars show recreated with normal figs, so I'm curious what gives you the idea that they're going anywhere. Quote

The image two posts above yours (382nd Legionnaire's) shows one CW face, two aliens with CW prints, and one clone that in all likelihood has a CW face under his helmet. It's clear that TLG is going to stick with the CW face style. With the transition to the higher level of detail and pupiled eyes of other themes, the CW style is what distinguishes those faces as cartoonish. We all know that the face style originated with Lucas Animation, not TLG, and I as much as many of us hate them, I don't think anyone can complain that CW faces are still around. Quote

I didn't know there were too many fans of the CW faces. I thought everyone didn't like the CW heads. If you take a look at the January lineup, there are only 2 out of the 10 Lego sets that are Clone Wars associated. The rest are from the movies. Also The Clone Wars TV show, has scheduled only 100 episodes. Right now they've done around 75 some episodes. This means TLG is looking to transition to other eras like KOTOR or EU. Quote

Well, since we are OT anyway: I wonder if Lucas will make another TV serial, maybe not cartoonish and settled in the timeline of ep 4-6. Quote
