DLuders Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 (edited) Philo (Phillippe Hurbain) shows the internals of a Power Function XL motor, the internal wiring the PF system, and the 4-wire PF connector plug details on his webpage. Edited July 22, 2011 by DLuders Quote
T_Tank Posted July 22, 2011 Author Posted July 22, 2011 thanks for the reply i'm gonna need to manually crack open the connectors on both an try to salvage the wiring which is likely gonna be me ordering new reciever an m motor -_- why did they have to make the wires so easy to fray at the connectors never had this issue wiht the old 9volt wires Quote
Lego Otaku Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 Old 9v wires were much easier to remove than PF. With PF, unsnapping the connector off battery or IR unit requires herculean strength. Quote
allanp Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 At least with the old system, if those who aren't so expierienced at repairing electronic devices (like TLGs target age group) had a wire stop working, you only lost the wire. Now you lose the whole motor. I only hope TLGs usually excellent customer services will replace them. Quote
jojoguy10 Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 Or, you could call LEGO Customer Support and ask for a replacement. I had what sounded like your same problem, and I called them. They said they would send me one...FREE OF CHARGE! jojoguy10 Quote
