BrickArt!san Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Well hello there, BrickArtisan here! First off, I'd like to say this looks like a great community. I've been looking for a forum to call home; a community other than Flickr. I can't wait to meet you all! Anyways, I've been a member of the online LEGO community for about three or four years now. I began on MOCpages but moved to Flickr after a few years on MOCpages, and am now here at Eurobricks. With one of my other hobbies being photography, I signed up for Flickr thinking it was just for photographic arts, then realized a large LEGO community resided there too!For about half a year, up until a week ago actually, I had been away from the LEGO community due to a busy life and school taking up so much time. I got back into LEGO after hearing about LEGO Store openings near where I live. So far, I've made several personal achievements in my time within the online LEGO community. For instance, I developed a little fad called Transformatanks, I've had my creations blogged on several sites but never TBB, which is one of my goals. The closest I've got is being credited for ideas on TBB posts. I often build sci-fi, military or City-themed MOCs. Which is probably related to why I enjoy playing Sim City 4 so much. To satisfy my need for sci-fi outside of LEGO, I play a game called AceOnline, and am considered one of the best players there. All in all, I'm pretty nerdy, but I'm proud of it! As of now, I am working on two MOCs, both can be found on my Flickr photostream. You can also find all my older MOCs over there. I hope you enjoy looking at them, and I'm sure I'll enjoy seeing all of your MOCs here on Eurobricks. This seems like a great place to be. :-) Quote
tedbeard Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Hi! Welcome to EB. There are a lot of us Canucks here and sooner or later you will probably end up on the Canadian, Eh? thread. Its ridiculously long but if you skip to the end you can often find out about Canada specific sales and release dates and AFOL events. What part of Canuckistan are you in? I'm on the Left Coast and our LUG usually sends several people to BrickCon in Seattle as it is close to us. Quote
