AnthonyFallen Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 (edited) Hey everyone! It's been some time since my last contribution to this forum, but here I am. ^^ I know that those decals have probably been uploaded in the Minifig Workshop like a hundred times already but I really wanted to put my versions online too. I hope that you guys will like them as much as I enjoyed making them! ^^ You'll notice that the '' Neglected '' variation is exactly the same as the official Gryffindor torso. The '' Clean '' one is based on the Slytherin torso, also made by lego. I thought that it might be interesting to have both variations for all the houses to add more personnality to our minifigures! :D Edited July 20, 2011 by AnthonyFallen Quote
CMP Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Great work. I'm no decal maker, but they clean and well-done. If you're looking for more things to add, I'd suggest a version without th egray robe over it, just the plain white shirt with tie. I do like how you did both neglected and clean versions. That'll get Filch in a rage. Quote
AnthonyFallen Posted July 21, 2011 Author Posted July 21, 2011 Thanks CallMePieOrDie :D, and that's an excellent idea! :D I shall start working on this right away ^^ Quote
tin7_creations Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 These look like the ones I made and posted in the Licensed Forum, and you just re-colored them. ~tin7_creations Quote
AnthonyFallen Posted July 21, 2011 Author Posted July 21, 2011 (edited) Umh... Chill out buddy. :S I reckon they might look alike but I noticed your work after making them :S... I used pictures from the original torsos, traced the basic lines to get the same effect and I simply changed the colors and added the vector logo for both new houses. You've inspired me a lot into becoming a decal maker, but I made those decals myself... ;P Edited July 21, 2011 by AnthonyFallen Quote
LuxorV Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Please do not start an argument over this. By comparing AnthonyFallen's and tin7_creations' designs, a number of details can be seen that make them stand apart from each other, imho. Of course, if you both used the same official parts as a source, the results will be very similar. Quote
AnthonyFallen Posted July 23, 2011 Author Posted July 23, 2011 It's alright. Thanks for your opinion on the question though LuxorV :D Quote
Internets Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 Great work. I'm no decal maker, but they clean and well-done. If you're looking for more things to add, I'd suggest a version without th egray robe over it, just the plain white shirt with tie. Or the cardigan / open cardigan as seen in OOTP Quote
Catanas Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 These are excellent, a little variety is always nice. :) Would be interesting to see your take on the cardigan and tank top variations! Quote
AnthonyFallen Posted July 24, 2011 Author Posted July 24, 2011 Well, thank you Catanas! ^^ I shall start working on those as soon aa I can! (kinda relocating :D) Quote
