fr33manator Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 I know what you mean, i have a little trouble with the bow / figurehead, and i wasn't quite pleased with it, i have already changed the bow 6 or 7 times (and still not pleased).....the colours of the headrails are on purpose, they should look like wings from my figurehead. Mayby you have a suggestion for the bow to change it? Looking awesome. One of these days i'll get around to building a ship, although i doubt it will be as nice as yours. Have you though of perhaps naming it the HMS Seraphim, or Seraph? or one of the other tiers of angels? Quote

As you can see even the 7 Provinciën doesn't have a deck with cannons just on the forecastle. It only has 2 entire gundecks and a few loose cannons on top of the forecastle if you get what I mean. A lower forecastle could look a bit like this: And perhaps you could make it even lower, but that's up to your taste. Thx, i have thought about it and i think i will raise the bow, your suggestion is also good but i like the cannons in the forecastle, and it looks more massive when i raise the bow. Just one point....i'm not building the 7 provinciën. Quote
