Lego Man Can Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 (edited) I have reached a problem, what should I get next? I have a choice of a few sets, they are all, what I call, 'main sets'. Here are the sets: Public Transport Station (8404), Space Center (3368), Fire Station (7208) and Marina (4644). Please can people give their opinion on which set they think is best? I would quite like to get the Public Transport Station, but I don't know... *EDIT: Added the item numbers* Edited July 17, 2011 by Lego Man Can Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Since I own one of each of those, public transport then marina followed by fire station, but I would get the latest police station as well if I was you ! Brick On ! Quote

Brick On ! Yeah, I think ill go for the Public Transport. And I have the old police station, so probably wont't get the new one, but I will do some modifications to the old one, the main one, a car park! Quote
TheKingOfBuilding Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 I would get the Public Transport Station because it is full of different everyday vehicles but at the same time, these are unlikely to appear in other sets. Quote
legodac Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 (edited) Well buddy, let’s crunch this by the numbers, here’s your first choice http://search2.lego....g=2057&cc=CA&u= Cost is 140 Canadian, you get 864 pieces and 6 mini-figures http://shop.lego.com...initialTab=zoom and from the detailed shot, there aren’t to many new pieces I use this system to decide which I will be buying next. The two main deciding factors are, How many new pieces are in the model and how many cool mini-figures do I get. I couldn’t find your space centre and I’m not sure if your Fire Station and Marina is one kit or two. Would you like to give us the kit numbers? Edited July 17, 2011 by legodac Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 The way to look at it as what part will this set play in one's city/town. Take the public transport set.....main part - tram, add this to the marina.....a tram travelling to the seaside ! Oh, the bank & money transport is also worth it as well as city corner....you can never have enough buses ! Brick On ! Quote

Very good point indeed, you are indeed correct if you are planning an entire layout, what's needed, what not. Quote
Lego Man Can Posted July 17, 2011 Author Posted July 17, 2011 Can someone point me in the direction of a review for the public transport? P.S I added the item numbers. Quote
legodac Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Right here my friend http://shop.lego.com...rt-Station-8404 Quote
L@go Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Or here, if you'd like to know what a fellow Eurobricker said. I'd definitely go for 8404. I also have a soft spot for the newest fire station, but 8404 is a unique set in Lego history, with that fabulous tram :) Quote
bricklayer Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Nice feeling for you. Public Transport Station (8404) all the way!! Enjoy Quote
