legodac Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 (edited) This model of a Case 550 Bull Dozer was created shortly after Lego came out with their design. Once completed, I uploaded the pictures to Lego.com and called my creation…”David and Goliath”. I also uploaded a few more later to Lego and other sites and called the creation… “The Boss is on the Dozer” this is Lego.com http://universe.lego...2a-59c1e2f22c3f This is MoC Pages http://mocpages.com/moc.php/116604 My first Lego affiliated site MLNO http://www.mlno.org/...pic,4429.0.html A years after that a few friends thought that my creation had been borrowed by Lego when they came out with their own“Mini-figure-compatible Dozer”. I even wrote a review on their rendition. I still like mine better though, it’s built Lego Tough. My guide was this The Blade design is unique and very strong, it incorporates a lock of sorts, and where the bricks connected must be forced together. http://designbyme.le...x?mymodels=true If that doesn’t do it, try this eh… Maybe later, I can’t find it right now, moving on then… I have a million things to say about this MOC, but I think I’ll let the pictures speak for me….hope you enjoy Play Well eh…The legodac Brickerage Firm Edited July 17, 2011 by legodac Quote
AussieJimbo Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Great little dozer, legodac. I like the comparison with the legendary Technic model. I still need to get a couple of XL motors and receivers so I can give mine back the ones I cannibalised to drive my Emerald Nights. :classic: Quote
legodac Posted July 17, 2011 Author Posted July 17, 2011 (edited) Thanks AJ, you did what to who now? Edited July 17, 2011 by legodac Quote
AussieJimbo Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 (edited) Thanks AJ, you did what to who now? The big Technic Bull Dozer contained the only XL motors I've got. It was difficult to scavenge parts from this awesome model but powering an equally awesome steam loco was a good enough reason. I really want to give the motors and receivers back to the dozer because it's one of the all time great Lego sets and deserves to have all it's pieces in place in the long run. :classic: Edited July 17, 2011 by AussieJimbo Quote

The Emerald Night standard set (as sold in Australia) doesn't come with any PF parts. This pic of the "K" collection set shows the PF parts I needed to get my hands on to motorise it. http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=K10194-1 :classic: Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Nice looking dozer 'legodac', excellent designing there to catch all the right angles, etc., from the original one ! Keep them comming 'legodac' and Brick On ! Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Neat dozer 'legodac'. It's great to see one the can comfortably work without taking up and entire road plate. Great job Quote
Lego Man Can Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 I just destroyed my bulldozer, the scale on it was terrible, well that's what I thought. But, that bulldozer is just excellent. Big well done to you! Quote
