tchuk-norst Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 (edited) Here's my second attempt at Steampunk, as you can tell I may have improved. This parachute was done originally as a table scrap man and gun. The parachute came much later. Here's an edited shot of the parachuter. Here's the same shot without background. Backshot, featuring what I thought was an ingenious use of the rigging piece and hands, I don't think I've ever seen it done before. The fearless gunman himself. Brickdoctor Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 I love all those hands! They perfectly capture the curves and bulges of the chute. Combine that with the engine and minifig, which themselves have some pretty great parts usage, and you've got one fine MOC. Quote
Hoboman Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 (edited) Wow, that is a lot of hands for one MOC. I like the overall idea and look though. He does feel Steam Punkish to me. Good Job. EDIT: Fixed Typo Edited July 12, 2011 by Daniel's Dad Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 I could now imagine a hoard of handless minifigs staring at you and collectively saying "give us back our hands!" Nah seriously this is really an excellent parts usage, those minifig hands really give this parachute an effective surface texture and even a nice color scheme. Great job! Quote
Speedboat Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Very cool! I always love to see clever new uses for Minifig hands. Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Well I gotta HAND it to you 'tchuk-norst', an impressive design.....very steam-punk ! Your creation proves you are very HANDy at this kind of MOC-building......sorry for the bad puns ! Great work and Brick On 'tchuk-norst' ! Quote
tchuk-norst Posted July 12, 2011 Author Posted July 12, 2011 Thank you all, in fact I keep all my hands in a separate bucket. This barely depleted my stores of yellow or black hands. Quote
Legostein Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 Hello! I am most fascinated about the bent use of the ladder piece. Very original and creative idea! Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
