I agree with donating them, not everyone can afford LEGO and Megablocks are just a cheaper way for a kid to get a similiar experience.

Sigh, not another one of these.

This is off to community where someone helpful can assist me in finding the other thread that runs along these lines.

I did a site:eurobricks.com search and got two: here and here. Hope that helps :classic: !

Thanks, eh they are all old threads, I shall leave this. It also removes the evidence of depressing immaturity...

Really, if you accidentaly get some clone brick you won't die. No one will take away all your LEGO and declare you unfit to remain an AFOL. You'll just have some bricks that you personally do not want.

As I keep repeating, if you buy a lot of mixed lots off eBay very often: Save those non LEGO bricks until you get a decent amount chuck in the better clone figures and maybe one of those many many Crash Test Dummies or other less popular CMFs and donate the bricks to charity. Someone will get some enjoyment from them.

I may have mentioned before, I sorted my bricks out a while back, the spare box just sort of sits there, it provides really useful filler and there is a bag of unique parts I can use in my MOCs. Right now I also have a load of Click Brick Swap 'em figures. They are very useful crowd filler and look just like LEGO minifigs to the point no one will notice.

Ah well.

I got 4 big buckets of "LEGO" at the Value Village the other day, for a pretty sweet deal [and then I found 20 bucks on the bus, but that's neither here nor there]. I dumped it all in the tub to wash of the gunge [some of it was mildewey... how does that even happen?] and it essentially sorted out to three buckets of good, basic, standard stuff [and most of the parts of 6394, which is cool] and a bucket of Megablox. Looks like two of those Dinosaur sets they made a while back. Tons of about three different colours, that are not standard to LEGO. Still, OCD prevents me from using them, so I let them dry, repacked them into a bucket, and will re-donate them back to said Value Village.

I have a separate bucket where the "reject LEGO" go.

I let my buddies kid play with the MBs. he has to earn the right to build with the epitome of building blocks.

Real LEGO.

So what do you do with them?

I use megablocks for bulk builds, like building up a baseplate and then covering it with lego tiles.

I'm not too concerned if its MB or LEGO for those type of things.

However Megablock figures or BRT Blocks
