4500 Snowspeeder

Hello Chaps,

I am working on 4500 Snowspeeder, just exactly like the instructions. I think the snowspeeder is done but my main concern is which cable I need to use to attach the harpoon? and how can I do that?

According to this Bricklink inventory of the 4500 Rebel Snowspeeder set, there is a 2584c07 "String Reel 2 x 2 Complete with String and Dark Bluish Gray Grappling Hook". In LDDextended mode, if you do a search for the term "string" in the top-left corner of the LDD program screen, there appears a "String PP 0.3 0.30m Black" that you can use.

I'm pretty sure, though, that that string can't attach to anything and isn't flexible.

According to peeron the string is x77 (that means that is is not an official lego number) and is 96L long.

The only suitable string in LDD seems to be the 58558. It is 38L long.

As Brickdoctor said, the piece is not flexible and don't connect to anything (but you can try to simulate the connection).
